河北省武邑中学2019-2020学年七年级上学期英语期中考试试卷
One day a tiger catches(抓住)a fox in the forest. Before the tiger could eat him up, the fox cries out, "You can't eat me. Don't you know that I'm king of the forest. If you eat me up, all the other animals in the forest will be angry with you. "The tiger doesn't believe him." How can such a small animal be king of the forest?" He asks himself. "If you don't believe(相信)me," the fox says, "then take a walk with me in the forest.You can see for yourself whether(是否)they are afraid of me." The tiger thinks it is a good idea, so the fox walks in front and the tiger goes behind. When the other animals see the tiger coming, they run away as fast as they could.
"See for yourself, Mr. Tiger," he calls out quickly. "All the animals are afraid of me."
"Yes, yes," the tiger says. "You are quite right." He then lets the fox go.
Education—Will you achieve the educational goals after finishing high-school? Are you still growing and learning? Family—What kind of relationship(关系)do you want with your parents and other family members? Creative—Do you want to achieve any artistic goals? | Career—What job do you want to take when you grow up? What do you need to make your dream come true? Public Service—Do you want to make the world a better place? Physical—Are you fit enough to do the things you want to do? Pleasure—How do you want to enjoy yourself? |
Write down the goals and think about them carefully. Are they realistic? When will you be able to achieve them?
To help make the process (过程) more manageable, divide your goals into smaller tasks. For example, if you want to reach a main goal in five years, set a three-year goal, a one-year goal, a three-month goal and a one-month goal. Then create a daily To-Do List of things that you should do today. When a goal is achieved, take the time to enjoy your success. This helps you build the self-confidence.
Remember, your goals can change as time goes on. But be sure your goals are things you hope to achieve, not what your parents, family or teachers want.

A ratio compares two numbers. For example, if you have 3 pens and 4 pencils, the ratio of pens to pencils is 3 to 4. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} 3 to 4, 3:4 and 3/4. One type of ratio is expressing (表示) numbers as a percent. A percent is the ratio of a number to 100. In other words, a percent compares one number to 100. The percent means "per hundred". {#blank#}2{#/blank#} You can use "%" to express percent. So 35% means 35 out of 100, and 15% means 15 out of 100. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Probability means the chance (可能) of some things happening in the future. For example, if there is a 90% chance of rain, 90 times out of 100, it will rain. That is a very high probability. However, if the weatherman says that there is only a 10% chance of rain, then 10 times out of 100, it will rain. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}
You can also express probability by using ratios. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} 5 of them are black while only 1 of them is red. If you choose a pen at random (随机地) from the pencil box, then the probability of choosing a black Den are 5 to 6, or 5/6. On the other hand, the probability of choosing a red pen is only 1 to 6, or 1/6.
A. So, 60 percent of something means 60 out of 100. B. For example, perhaps you have 6 pens that all look alike in your pencil box. C. The ratio can be written in three ways. D. That is a very low probability. E. Percents are helpful when expressing the probability. |
