One day, all feelings {#blank#}1{#/blank#}vacation on an island, and each was having a good time. Suddenly, there was a strong storm, so they all rushed to their boats. Yet, Love didn' t wish {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (run) away quickly. But as the clouds darkened, Love realized it was time to leave. But there were no boats to use.. Love looked around with hope.

Just then Richness was passing by. Love asked “Richness, can you take me with you?” She answered, “No, I can' t. There' s a lot of gold in my boat. There' s no place here for you.”

Sorrow passed by after a whileAgain, Love asked for help. But it was useless. “No, I can' t take you with me. I am so sad. I want to stay on {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (I) own.

When {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (happy) passed by a few minutes later, Love again asked for help. But he was so happy that he couldn' t care about {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (someone) else.

Love was growing hopeless. Just then somebody shouted, “Come, Love. I will take you with me.” Love didn' t know who was so kind, {#blank#}6{#/blank#}jumped onto the boat happily.

After Love {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (save), he met Knowledge. Love asked, “Knowledge, do you know the one {#blank#}8{#/blank#} was so {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (help) to give me a hand when no one else wished to help?”

Knowledge smiled, “That was Time.”

“Time?” asked Love. “But why did time help me?” Knowledge smiled and answered, “Because only Time is able to understand {#blank#}10{#/blank#} valuable Love is.”

    Danny lived with his mother in a small town. They were poor and got by only with what his mother earned {#blank#}1{#/blank#} a washerwoman. Although they were poor, they were always {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (help) to those in need.

    One day, Danny was walking in town when he {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (see) an old man carrying a huge bag. The man looked tired and hungry. He was walking around asking people to help him carry the bag. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Nobody agreed to help him. Danny offered to give him a hand. The old man told Danny that he had no money to pay him.

    With {#blank#}5{#/blank#} laugh, Danny said that he was just trying to help. He took the bag and put it onto his shoulder. It was heavy! Danny asked the old man where he wanted {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (go). He told Danny to follow him. As they walked, Danny {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (realise) that they were heading towards his house.

    The old man stopped right in front of it. "This is my house!" cried Danny. The old man did not say a word. He just {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (turn) around and told Danny, "This bag is for you. Use it well." Then he went off.

    Danny opened the bag and he was {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (surprise) to find a lot of money inside. A note inside it said "Help comes to those who help." From then on, Danny and his mother lived happily. They {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (continue) to help those in need.

    A new term begins. We are glad {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (return)to school again. In Grade 8, we have a new subject {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. Some students think it is hard, but some think it is {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (interest) Mr. Smith is our teacher. He is from {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (English). It {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (rain) heavily and the streets were wet. He drove too fast {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (see) the red light. He could not stop his car and hit a car in front of his. An old man got out and shouted angrily," What are you doing? Do you want to hit me to death?" "I'm sorry, sir," said Mr. White. "I didn't find the lights turning." Then he {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (bring) out a bottle of wine and gave it to the old man. "It's very cold today, sir," said Mr. White. "Please drink a little, and then you'll be warmer. "The old man drank some wine and became happy. "I {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (feel) much better now. Why not {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (drink) some?" he asked.
