My mother is very nice. She is a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} （work） in a clothes store. She usually gets up at 6: 30. Then she cooks breakfast for me. After {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（have） a bowl of porridge and some broccoli, she goes to work at 7: 30. There {#blank#}3{#/blank#} （be）usually many people in her clothes store. So she is very busy.

    My mother's work in the morning is over at 11: 45, and starts again at 1: 30 in the afternoon. So she has to have lunch in the store. Her work in the afternoon {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (end) at 5: 30, and she goes home at 6: 30. Then she has dinner with {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (we）at home. After dinner we watch TV together.

    Yash Gupta has worn glasses for many years. When they broke one day and he was not able {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (wear) them to school, he had a big problem. He could not see much of what was going on in his classroom. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} he learnt nothing at the end of the day.

    Yash quickly got his glasses fixed, but this experience changed {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (he) life. He thought probably many kids around the world did not have proper (合适的) glasses {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (help) them learn at school.

    So, he {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (make) some researches. He found that 13 million children around the world didn't have proper glasses. And he learnt that not having glasses could cause a 20％ loss in learning!

    Instead of {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (shake) his head at this problem. Yash decided to do something. A few months later, he started {#blank#}7{#/blank#} small organization, Sight Learning, to help find glasses for other kids that need them. He started Sight Learning in 2011 and since then he has helped {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (thousand) of young students around the world! Sight Learning provides {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (glass) for students who need them but cannot afford them.

    Yash is a great example of a young person who takes action to improve not only his own life, but also those {#blank#}10{#/blank#} others.

    Here's a part of an e-mail answer {#blank#}1{#/blank#}Joe giving some advice to his son in college. "When I was young, I often met problems about what to do and what {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(not do).

    My grandmother told me not {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(worry) about those things.  I {#blank#}4{#/blank#}ever agree with her. Instead, I try to do those things well, and I do {#blank#}5{#/blank#} every day. For example, I need to eat every day, so I should learn how {#blank#}6{#/blank#}  (cook).  I need to talk to {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(other) every day, so I should learn how to work with different people and know {#blank#}8{#/blank#}speak well. I walk every day, so my {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(shoe) should be all right and comfortable. Every night, I sleep, so my bed should let me have a good rest. {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(take) care of the everyday things means that you do a better job which you need to do in a life time as well.
