    I had an amazing experience last Spring Festival. On the second day of the holiday, it was snowing heavily but we had a very importance relative to visit, that lived in a distant mountain village. We have to take risks to drive on our journey. Though the road was bad, but we arrived safe.

    The family welcomed us warmly or we said “ Happy new year" to them. We were treated a good dinner. Later in the afternoon, we said goodbye and started back home. Sadly, our car sticking in the snow halfway and wouldn't move. Just then, the villager walked by, offering to push his car. It was this stranger who helped us out!

    An English club will be set up on Dec. 16 in our school. It aims to arouse our interests in English and make us know more about the world.

    Last week, my teacher told us about our school's speech contest, which topic was “my hero”. I thought of my grandpa would be my perfect topic. Then I carefully prepared for contest. A couple of weeks later, after the first round I was choosing to be one of the seven finalists! The final was held soon. I was the sixth to giving the speech. After I finished it, I saw the audience discussing and wondering what they were saying. After the last person finished, the judge made their final decisions and announced that I have won the first prize. The audience were going wildly, clapping and cheering! I was extremely happy. It was such exciting a moment that I will always remember it.

    To show our love for poor kids lived in earthquake-hit areas, our school hold a special activity recently in our school lecture hall. Its purpose was to making sure those poor kids have a warm winter. All the teachers and students in our school took an actively part in this activity. We gave away 400 pieces of clothes and 200 pairs of shoe altogether. After be sorted, they will be sent to those in the need. I believe what they did will make a great difference to those poor kids. Although we all learn to care for others, the world will be more comfortable to live.
