Soon computers and other machines will be able to remember you by looking at your eyes! The programme works because everyone's eyes are different. So in the future you won't have to remember a number when you want to use a machine or take money out of a bank. You'll just have to look at the machine and it will be able to tell who you are.
The eye-recognition(眼睛识别) programme is already being tested in shops and banks in the USA, Britain, Spain, Italy and Turkey. Soon, this technology will take the place of all other ways of finding out who people are.
However, scientists are working on other systems. Machines will soon be able to know you from the shape of your face or hand or even your smell! We already have machines that can tell who you are from your voice or the mark made by your finger.
Eye-recognition is better than other kinds because your eyes don't change as you get older, or get dirty like hands or fingers. And even twins have different eyes, so the programme can be up to 94% correct, depending on(依靠) how good the technology is. Some programmes may only be right 51% of the time. In Britain, it was found that 91% of people who had tried it said that they liked the idea of eye-recognition.
In the future your computure will be looking at you in the eye. So smile!

(1)、How does the eye-recognition programme work?

A、You write your number. B、You show your ID card. C、You look at the machine. D、You say your name.
(2)、Why can the programme be up to 94% correct?

A、Because eyes never change. B、Because hands or fingers can get dirty. C、Because people like the idea of the programme. D、Because the programme is widely used around the world.
(3)、Which of the following is TRUE?

A、The programme is being tested in Japan. B、Machines with other systems can also tell who you are. C、91% people like the idea of the programme. D、Computers can remember you by looking at your clothes.
(4)、What does Paragraph 4 talk about?

A、Introduction to other kinds of programmes. B、Advantages of the programme. C、The places where the programme is tested. D、The way how the programme works.

A myth is something that is not correct, but many people believe. There are a lot of myths about the human brain.

One of the biggest myths is that we only use 10 percent of our brains. The next part of the myth is that if we can learn to use the rest of our brains, then we'll be much smarter. People say this all the time, but it's absolutely not true! The truth is that although we don't know everything about the human brain, we know that each part of it has an important function (功能). Modern scientists think the "10 percent myth" ridiculous(荒谬的).

The other most popular myth is about being "right brained" or "left brained". According to this myth, people who use the right side of their brains are more artistic and creative. People who use the left side of their brains are better at math and science. This is as popular as the 10 percent myth, and it's also wrong. In 2013, a study at an American university examined the right brain and left brain myth. According to the study, we use both sides of our brains equally (相等地).

It's true that we use different parts of our brains for different things. We use our left side for language more, and our right side when we need to pay attention. But there is no evidence (证据) that creative people use the right side more, or that scientific people use the left side more.

We've talked about myths, so let's look at a few interesting facts about the brain. First of all, the brain feels no pain. Second, about 75 percent of the brain is made of water. It's also the fattest organ in your body. Here's another interesting fact about the brain. Around the time you turn 18 years old, it stops growing.

People from all over the world have one common desire They are looking for happiness. Each person has a personal vision of happiness. I think all people have habits which can both help them become happy or lose their dream. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} The following behaviors can easily affeet you, if you do nothing to correct them.

Only you can change your life. Don't wait for the perfect moment, but make every moment perfect instead. Life is short. So you should do your best to seize the opportunity to make your life and the life of your dearest and nearest people better.

Nowadays many people face economic problems and go to work they hate. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Confucius once said a wonderful thing," Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life."

There are so many happy people around. You often find them smiling, joking and succeeding in everything. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Don't let these thoughts flag your spirits. Just define success for yourself and move on towards your dream. Fears and worries are false emotions that can keep you away from many chances to become better or do something you've never done before. Don't let all those fears and negativity take over your life. You'd better be strong enough to face all your fears. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

It is almost impossible to change everything all at once. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} If you want to make a difference to the world, start changing the world around you.

Happiness is in your hand, but you should open your eyes to see and accept it. Try to give up bad habits that can steal your happiness, and you will feel better and happier.

A. Don't worry, be happy!

B. Try to change everything step by step.

C. You shouldn't give up on your dreams and work without passion and interest.

D. Unfortunately, there are some habits that steal your happiness and make you feel bad.

E. Therefore, you begin to focus on other people's lives and compare your success to their goals.
