Hundreds more may disappear soon. Many kinds of animals are now on the d{#blank#}1{#/blank#}list in China and elsewhere.

    Should we care about animals being killed? Of course we should. If animals of a certain kind all disappear, they will not be around any more. Animals are m{#blank#}2{#/blank#} than just beautiful or interesting. They are more than just food for people. Every animal has its place in the balance of nature. Killing one kind of animal can make. o{#blank#}3{#/blank#} kinds disappear, too.

    For e{#blank#}4{#/blank#}, when farmers kill too many birds, their fields could be damaged by insects. This is because birds eat insects. When there are not e{#blank#}5{#/blank#} birds around the farm, there will be too many insects.

    Luckily, many people now understand that we cannot kill animals whenever we want to, and they are working hard to s{#blank#}6{#/blank#} those animals that could disappear soon. More people should join in such work so that we can keep the balance of nature.
