There were three old teachers at the railway s{#blank#}1{#/blank#}. They were talking happily. The train arrived, but they didn't notice. Then the conductor(列车长) shouted, “G{#blank#}2{#/blank#}  on the train and take the seats, please”

    The teachers heard the conductor and rushed for the train. T{#blank#}3{#/blank#} of them got on the train b{#blank#}4{#/blank#} it moved. The third one didn't get on the t{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. It was Mr. Green. He looked worried.  One of his students was at the station. He t{#blank#}6{#/blank#} to comfort(安慰) the teacher. It wasn't really b{#blank#}7{#/blank#}, sir,” said the student. “Two out of three c{#blank#}8{#/blank#} the train. That's quite good, you know.”   “I know, “the teacher said, “But it was m{#blank#}9{#/blank#} train. My friends only came to s{#blank#}10{#/blank#} goodbye to me”

    Sometimes we are used to drawing a quick conclusion(结论), But is it right or not? My little son gave me a {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.

    One day, I took my five-year-old son to go out for a walk after dinner. On the way, we saw an old woman selling fruits. I didn't take enough money with me. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} my son liked eating fruit very much, I could buy only two pears and gave them to him.

    The little boy held the pears in his hands. I asked him if he could share one {#blank#}3{#/blank#} me. On hearing this, he quickly took a bite(咬) from one pear, and the {#blank#}4{#/blank#}.

    I was quite surprised. I {#blank#}5{#/blank#} myself what mistakes I had made in educating my son so that he acted in such a greedy(贪婪) way. I was lost in thought. Perhaps I was just {#blank#}6{#/blank#} too much. My son was too young to know about sharing and giving.

    Suddenly, my son gave me the pear in his right hand and said, “Mom, you have this one. This one is much sweeter.” Then I knew why my little son took a bite from {#blank#}7{#/blank#} pear.

    From then on, I always tell myself not to reach a conclusion too {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. Try to spend some more time in understanding things better.

    Last week I went to an art show. A painting caught my eyes. To my amazement, it was painted by Steven, one of my {#blank#}1{#/blank#}.Then many things about him came into my mind.

    Steven was from a poor family. His parents {#blank#}2{#/blank#} not afford to buy him some basic things that he needed. Once our school provided gloves for poor children. I put Steven's name on the list. He was so {#blank#}3{#/blank#} when he received a pair .He loved to wear them and they were always {#blank#}4{#/blank#} than anybody else's.

    Steven had a talent for painting and he could {#blank#}5{#/blank#} understand what I described in class .But he didn't have money to buy the paper for painting. So sometimes I {#blank#}6{#/blank#} him some. He practiced hard and I often show his paintings to the class. He was greatly {#blank#}7{#/blank#}.

    One day just before the summer vacation ,he came to {#blank#}8{#/blank#} some art books. When the new term began, he showed some of {#blank#}9{#/blank#} paintings to me. I felt shocked. They were good. Then we talked a lot. He said he would keep on.

    Later he was admitted to a famous art university. After graduation, he had many difficulties, but he never gave up. He was always {#blank#}10{#/blank#} his best to improve himself.

    For this month's Young World magazine, I interviewed 19-year-old Asian pop star Candy Wang. Candy told me that she used to be really shy and took up singing to deal with her {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(shy). Now she's not only shy anymore and enjoys {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(sing)in front of crowds.

    I asked Candy how life was different after she became famous. She explained that there are many good things, like being able {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(travel)and meet new people all the time. “I didn't use to be popular in school, but now I get tons of attention everywhere I go.” {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(however), too much attention can also be a bad thing. ”I always have to worry about how appear to others, and I never dare to be {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(care) about what I say or do. And I have much {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (little) private time now because there are always guards around me.”

    What does Candy have to say to all {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(that) young people who want to become famous?”Well,”she begins {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(slow),”you have to be prepared to give up your normal life.You can never imagine how difficult the road to success is. Many times I {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(think) about giving up, but I fought on. You really require a lot of talent and hard {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(work) to succeed. Only a very small number of people make it to the top.”
