Jimmy is five years 1. He is a lovely boy. He plays 2 other children in a small park each day. The park is near his building.

    His mother buys new clothes for 3. The clothes are expensive and nice. Jimmy is very happy.

    "Mom, can I go out and play with my friends? I want them to 4 my new clothes," asks Jimmy.

    "Yes, please keep your clothes 5," says his mother. "I'm going to do some cooking. We'll 6 supper after your father comes back." 7 six o'clock Jimmy's father comes back from work, Jimmy goes home for supper.

    "Why do you have so much earth(泥土)on your clothes?" 8 his mother.

    "Because I have some falls(跌倒)," answers Jimmy.

    "I'm sorry, Mom," says Jimmy, "I had 10 time to take off(脱下) my clothes when I fell."

    It snowed again. My seventh Christmas was round the corner. I dreamed of getting the present from Father Christmas until my elder sister dropped the bomb (突然宣布). "There is no Father Christmas." 

    I ran to my grandmother's house, for she always told the 1. Grandmother was at home. I told her everything. "No Father Christmas?" she was a little 2. "Don't believe it. Put on your coat, and let's go."

    "Go? Where, Grandma?" I asked.

    For a few seconds I just stood there, holding the money, wondering what to buy, and who to buy it for.

    I thought of everybody I knew, my family, my friends, my neighbours… I suddenly thought of Bobbie Decbar, a boy with bad breath (口臭) and messy (凌乱的) hair. He sat right behind me in Mrs Polack's class.

    Bobbie 4 went to any party during the winter. His mother always wrote a note, telling the teacher that he had a cough, 5 we all knew that he didn't have a cough. In fact, he didn't have a 6. I decided to buy Bobbie a red warm coat that he would like.

    That evening, grandma helped me wrap (包裹) the coat in Christmas paper and ribbons (缎带), and write "To Bobbie. From Father Christmas" on it. Grandma told me Father Christmas never let people know that he 7 them. Then she drove me over to Bobbie's home, telling me that I was helping Father Christmas 8 the presents.

    Grandma parked the car along the street and we hid behind the trees near Bobbie's home. Then Grandma said to me. "All right, Father Christmas, get going."

    I took a deep breath, rushed to his front door, put the present down 9 the door, rang the doorbell and flew back to the safety of the 10 and Grandma. We waited breathlessly in the dark for the front door to open. Finally it did and there stood Bobbie.

    That night, I realized that Father Christmas was alive and well, and we were on his team.

    A man came home from work late, tired and found his 5-year-old son1 for him at the door. “Daddy, may I ask you a question ?” “Yeah, sure, what is it?” replied the man. “Daddy2do you make each hour?” “If you must know, I make $20 an hour.” “ Oh,” the little boy replied, with his head down, He thought for a moment, looked up and said, “Daddy, may I please 3 $10?” the father was furious, “If you asked4 the money to buy a silly toy, then go straight to your room and think about why you are being so selfish（自私的）!” The little boy 5went to his room and shut the door. After about an hour or so, the man calmed down. And started to think. Maybe there was 6he really needed to buy with that $10 and he didn't really ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy's room and 7 the door." Are you8 son?" he asked. "no daddy," replied the boy. "I've been 9 maybe I was too hard 10you just now." said the man, "Here's the $10 you asked for." the little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you daddy!" he yelled. Then, he 11 under his pillow and pulled out some coins. The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at his father. “Why do you want 12 money since you already have some?” the father shouted13“Because I didn't have enough, but now I do.” the little boy replied, “Daddy , I have $20 now. Can I buy 14hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like15 dinner with you.”

    Very long ago, there was a huge apple tree. Little Mark 1to play with him. The tree enjoyed spending with the little boy.

    Later, Mark joined school. 2several months, Mark came to the tree. He said3,"My parents don't have money to buy toys for me." The tree replied," I don't have money to buy toys for you, 4 you can pick my apples and sell them" So Mark picked plenty of apples.

    The tree was looking forward to seeing Mark. However, he never returned for5years. The tree was sad and it did not 6any apples after that.

    After ten years, Mark returned7a young man. The tree asked Mark to play with him. Mark said, "I am sorry I don't have time to play with you as I have to work. I want to8 a house. Can you help me?" The tree replied, "Cut my branch(树枝) and get as much wood as you want." Mark started to cut the branches of the tree and left.

    After several years, Mark returned as a middle-aged man. The tree was happy. He said," Can you play with me now?" Mark replied," I want to 9 from heavy work. I need a boat to10 to my places." The tree replied, "I don't have a boat for you, but you can cut my trunk（树干）and make one ."Mark cut the trunk of the tree and made a boat.

    After twenty years, Mark returned as an old man .The tree said, "Now I have11to give you!" Old Mark said, "I just need rest." The tree said, "Come to me, my dear!" Hearing this old Mark smiled with12 !
