★Make a picture for them. Whether with pencils or paints, it'll be valuable to them forever.

★Cook them a dinner! It can be some rice, some cheese or some hot dogs.  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

★Tell them that you love them very often. Your love can make them feel warm and proud.

★ {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  Probably the biggest way to show them you love them is never to lie. This shows them that you not only love them, but also believe in and respect them.

★ {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Watch a film with your mom once in a while, or go to a sports match with your dad once in a while just to show them how much you care and want to be closer to them.

★If you do something wrong, say sorry to them and explain it! They will know your regret. You could do something for them to show that you want to make it up to them。 {#blank#}5{#/blank#}

   Life today has brought about new problem. One of the biggest problems of every nation is pollution. In America, there are laws {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the air and water clean. These are new laws and it has taken much time{#blank#}2{#/blank#} a polluted river or lake. Now the fish are healthy again and people can enjoy {#blank#}3{#/blank#} in the clean water. 
   When food is brought from the store to the home, it is packed in paper, glass, or plastic. Every day a newspaper comes to the home. Americans use {#blank#}4{#/blank#} all these materials in the garbage which was picked up by a large truck. The truck these materials to a garbage dump or a land-fill. The truck dumped the garbage into a large hole and then earth was pushed over the garbage until the hole was filled. Then, a new hole must be found.
As the years went by, the garbage increased as the population {#blank#}5{#/blank#} . Scientists suggested using some garbage again. They advised businessmen {#blank#}6{#/blank#} money by recycling or using paper, glass, and plastic again.
   Now, a recycling truck comes to each home once a week {#blank#}7{#/blank#}  up materials. American families are told {#blank#}8{#/blank#} their newspaper in boxes and clean all glass, and plastic. The truck takes them to factories for recycling.
   Recycling is a way {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the environment from pollution by {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  many materials again.

    Philip is the bravest boy I know. His friends and family are all very  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(pride) of him.

    Ten-year-old Philip was born with  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}illness which means that he is always breaking his bones（骨头）. Although he has such a serious illness, Philip loves  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(play) sports. In January last year he started wheelchair racing. He came {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(two) in his first race, and since then Philip {#blank#}5{#/blank#}( win) every other race!

    In order to look  {#blank#}6{#/blank#}a new challenge（挑战）， Philip decided to take part in the London Wheelchair Marathon（马拉松）. {#blank#}7{#/blank#} , five days before the race Philip got sick.     Philip behaves {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(brave) and never gives up. That's why he has been chosen to be the Bravest Child of the Month.

    Tu Youyou, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} 84-year-old scientist,  became the first female (女性)Chinese to {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (win) a Nobel Prize in science on Oct, 5. She {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (share) the 2015 Nobel Prize for medicine because {#blank#}4{#/blank#} the new medicine for malaria(疟疾). Tu was awarded （授予奖项）for "three firsts". She was the first to bring artemisinin(青蒿素) to her team,  the first to extract(提取) artemisinin that can stop malaria,  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the first to finish the experiment.

    She first tried the medicine on {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (she), because she wanted to make sure that it was safe (安全). "As the head of the group, I had the responsibility(责任)." The scientist spoke to CCTV about her work. Artemisinin is a gift for the world people. It has saved many people's {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (life). It comes from Chinese traditional medicine and now is a good way to treat malaria. Tu Youyou expects Chinese medicine to help {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (many) people all over the world. 

    We can learn a lot from Tu Youyou. We should do something useful for people. If we want to be {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (success), we should keep on {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (work) hard with our group and never give up.

    Riding a bike is good exercise and great f{#blank#}1{#/blank#} But what do you do with your old bikes? American girl Nicole Basil has a w{#blank#}2{#/blank#}answer to this question. She set up Pedal Power – a charity (慈善团体) to collect (收集) old b{#blank#}3{#/blank#}and give them to people who need them.

    Nicole started Pedal Power when she was o{#blank#}4{#/blank#} 8 years old. She collects more than 250 bikes each year. Every November, Pedal Power holds a bike race to ask for more donations (捐赠品).

    Nicole also gives bikes to students as p{#blank#}5{#/blank#} Top students and hardworking students both get t{#blank#}6{#/blank#} “Some kids aren't as lucky as others , b{#blank#}7{#/blank#} they still do well in school,” she says. “ And I think they should get a prize.”

    A bicycle shop helps Nicole check every bike for the races so that n{#blank#}8{#/blank#}is wrong with those bikes in the race. The owner of the bicycle shop says he is happy to h{#blank#}9{#/blank#}the charity." This is just wonderful," he says." We need to learn from Nicole to help o{#blank#}10{#/blank#}. People all think it's a good idea to do so.
