    Last weekend，Chen Jie went to her aunt's home. She went there by bus, because it is very far. She got to the bus station, and her aunt came to the bus station to meet her. They went to a restaurant and ate good food. Then, they went to a park and took many pictures. In the evening，they went shopping at the surpermarket. Chen Jie was very happy!

    Life（生活）was different in my grandpa's hometown many years ago.

    In the past, people cooked on a fire. They didn't have TVs or radios. There were no buses. They had to live in small houses. They didn't have enough food.

    Now, there are lots of buses and cars in Grandpa's hometown. They live in big houses or buildings. They cook with natural gas（天然气）and have lots of food. They can use mobile phones（手机）. They even have computers and use the Internet.

    Tom is a very old man. After dinner(晚餐) ,he likes walking in the street. And he goes to bed at seven o'clock.

    But tonight, a car stopped at his house. A policeman helps him get out. He tells Tom's wife," The old man couldn't find his way in the street. He asked me to take him home in my car. "

    After the policeman leaves (离开) there, his wife asks, "Tom, you go to that street every night. But tonight you can't find the way, what's the matter?"

    The old man smiles like a child and says, "I couldn't find my way? I didn't want to walk home. "

    Hello! I'm Winnie. I have a friend. Her Bane is Lingling. She's ten years old. She's tall. She has long hair. She likes English very much. She can run and jump. She has a big red ball. After class, we play together. We are happy.

    Dinah was a kind girl, but she was very lazy. She didn't like to do anything. Her mother wanted her to do some reading, but she didn't want to.

    One day a boy named Joy came and brought a pair of skates (滑冰鞋)with him. Dinah liked the skates very much. She ran after Joy when he walked on the skates. Joy let Dinah put on his skates. The girl was very happy. “Listen, Dinah.” said the young man. "if you start to read, I'll send you a good pair of skates on the first day of January."

    From then on, Dinah did lots of reading. On the first day of New Year, she got a new pair of skates from Joy.
