    EVERYDAY since March 8, people all over the world are repeatedly asking the same question: Where did Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 go? It turns out to be the saddest answer.

    On March 24, Malaysian Prime Minister(总理) Najib Razak announced that the plane "ended in the southern Indian Ocean". All 239 people on board, including 154 Chinese, died.

    The conclusion was based on satellite(卫星) data from the British Air Accidents Investigation Branch and Inmarsat, a Britain ­based satellite company. No debris(残骸)of the plane had been found.

    The news sent people, especially families of passengers(乘客), into deep sorrow. They are asking for more details about the investigation.

    China has already asked Malaysia to provide(提供) all the information and evidence(证据) leading to the conclusion, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei. He said China would continue with their search effort. "We hope that other countries will also continue their search, " Hong said.

    Many people travel to different places in the world by air. Usually it takes a long time, perhaps half a day, for passengers to stay in the plan. So airlines（航空公司）offer passengers food. But it is common that they feel bad about food taste. Do you agree?

    To solve this problem, airlines try hard to improve their food. They would like to do so because they don't want to lose customers.

    However, according to scientific research, part of the reason why plane food tastes bad is that at high altitude（海拔）we can not taste things as well as we do on the ground. Also scientists have found that our noses become very dry even before a plane takes off. As the plane moves up, the change in air  pressure（气压）reduces one third of the sensibility（感觉）of our taste buds（味蕾）. So our taste buds become senseless. The sad face, however, is that our noses don't know it.

    All of these help explain why food on the plane tastes so bad. They also help explain why airlines choose to offer passengers salty and spicy（辛辣的）food. Without doing so, the food would be tasteless.

    Now there are many researches on this. According to one of them, some volunteers are asked to lie with their feet higher than their heads for weeks. And scientists write down their feelings about food taste.

    Though scientists try their best, it is not as easy as they thought. Because they can't deal with the special environment successfully, such as the change in air pressure, making food taste good is still hard for them.

Today Is Different

	"On Saturday mornings I usually get up late and do the housework. Then I meet some friends in town for lunch, and go shopping in the afternoon." But this Saturday is different! This morning she's getting married(结婚). She's in church with all her family and friends. She's wearing a white dress, and her husband is standing next to her.
	"On my birthday I sometimes go out with friends, or I go out to a restaurant with my family. My mom usually makes me a birthday cake." But this birthday is different! It's Leo's eighteenth birthday, so now he's an adult(成人). This morning he got a lot of gifts. Now he's having a big party with all his friends. They're dancing and drinking beer. Leo's wearing a blue sweater.

Taking a gap year between high school and university is quite common in the UK. And there are lots of different ways{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(spend) your time. A gap year is {#blank#}2{#/blank#} period of time when a student takes a break before going to university. 

Julie graduated from Hull University. She works {#blank#}3{#/blank#} a manager in an international company. Julie tells us about her gap year. 

"During my gap year, I {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(teach) in a primary school in Kenya, Africa. I spent four months teaching children {#blank#}5{#/blank#} were aged 8 to 18 English, PE and art. {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(lucky), I got a chance of coaching the school's netball team as well. Besides working, I travelled through the country {#blank#}7{#/blank#} even climbed Mount Kenya. "

"The trip was one of the best {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(experience) of my life. I'm very happy that I didn't go to university straight after high school because I learnt a lot in my year out. My trip to Africa also looks great on my CV(简历). My interviewers were really {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(interest) in how I managed to teach a class of 88 children. They thought that {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(climb) up Mount Kenya showed my strong will. Not everybody can put that on his or her CV. "

What do you usually do online?

I love shopping online. I sit in front of the computer for hours. I shop every day. I can always find cheap but good things online. Sometimes I watch movies or listen to songs.
