    In 1715 ,at fleet(舰队) of Spanish ships left Havana, Cuba for Spain. On their way home, they ran into bad weather. Eleven ships--along with{#blank#}1{#/blank#}of treasure they were carrying--were lost. About 1,000 people{#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    For nearly 250 years, the sea kept most of the treasure to itself. Then, in the 1950s, a man found coins and some {#blank#}3{#/blank#} treasure on a Florida beach. He soon {#blank#}4{#/blank#} that one of the Spanish ships must have been nearby(;(在附近). That's when a big undersea treasure hunt(搜寻) began.

 $500,000 {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. The following month, a team of treasure hunters found 350 gold coins, together worth $4.5 million. So far, about $400 million worth of treasure is said to have already been found.

    So who can {#blank#}7{#/blank#} treasure found at sea? Each case(情况) is different, but in the case of the 1715 fleet, 20 percent goes to the state of Florida for its museums. Other treasure is 2{#blank#}8{#/blank#} between Queens

Jewels and whoever finds it. Queens Jewels is a company who owns the rights (权利) to the fleet.

    Even if you are not {#blank#}9{#/blank#} to keep what you find, there is plenty of reason to be excited. "These finds are {#blank#}10{#/blank#} not just for how much they are worth, but their historical importance," says the owner of Queens Jewels.
