A young man runs towards a wall. But he does not stop {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (run). He reaches me wall and {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (kick) it off. He uses the force (力量) of his kick to push {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (him) up me wall. Now, his hands can reach the top of the wall. He uses his arms {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (pull) his body up. He quickly climbs over the top of the wall. Then, he jumps down {#blank#}5{#/blank#} keeps running. He leaves the wall behind him. This young man is doing parkour (跑酷).

    People must practise a lot to be good at parkour. They do a lot of running, jumping and climbing. People like parkour for many reasons. First, it does not need too much money. People only need to wear{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (comfort) clothes and shoes so that they can move easily.

    Second, parkour helps people think {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (different) about things around them. Tb do parkour, they must think creatively (创造性地). When they see some tall buildings around them, they think about what they can do {#blank#}8{#/blank#} them. Finally, many people enjoy parkour because it is more than just a sport. It is like life: If there {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (be) a tall thing in front of you, you must find {#blank#}10{#/blank#} way to get past it.

    Some people have a very poor sense {#blank#}1{#/blank#} direction. Unluckily, I am one of them. I {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (visit) a place many times but I may still get lost there the next time.

    When I was a little girl, I never dared to ask {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (stranger) the way. And so I used to walk round in circles and hope that by chance I would get to the place I was going to.

Now, I am {#blank#}4{#/blank#} longer shy to ask people for directions, but 1 often receive helpless or even wrong information. So I try to avoid {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (give) people wrong directions. If anyone asks me the way, I will say," Sorry, I am a stranger here."

    Once on my way {#blank#}6{#/blank#} work, I was stopped by a man. He asked me {#blank#}7{#/blank#} could tell him the way to the Friendship Building, I gave him my usual reply. But just as I walked on only a few steps, I found {#blank#}8{#/blank#} he had asked the way to my office building. However, I had no time to turn back and look for him. I was rushing to meet with someone at my office and I didn't want to keep him {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (wait).

    When I just got to my office, the secretary (秘书) showed in the man who had asked me for directions. Imagine how embarrassed I was and how {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (surprise) he was when we saw each other at the first sight!
