I'm on a bus on a rainy day. It's time to go home. A woman with a dog gets on the bus. It is a big dog and its feet are not clean. I don't want the dog to sit near me. But the woman says to the conductor (售票员) , "Oh, I pay for(付款)my dog.  Can he sit here like the other people?" The conductor looks at the dog and says, "Yes, madam. But like the other people, he must not put his feet on the chair. "

    Once (从前) a man stole (偷) one of Washington's horses. Washington went with a policeman to get back the horse. But the man didn't give the horse to Washington. He said it was his horse. Washington put his hands on the eyes of the horse and said to the man, “If (如果) this is your horse, you must tell us in which eye he is blind (瞎的).”“In the right eye!” the man said. Washington took his hand from the right eye of the horse and showed the policeman that the horse was not blind. “Oh, I made a mistake (弄错了),” said the man. “He is blind in the left eye.” Washington then took his hand from the left eye of the horse. It was not blind in the left eye either (也不).“I made another mistake (又弄错了 ),” said the man. “Yes,”said the policeman, “and you know the horse is not yours. You must give it back to Washington.”

Linda：What do you everyday clothes look like，Betty?

Betty：I usually wear jeans and T-shirt because they are the most comfortable．I seldom wear dresses，because I don't look good in them．

Linda：What does your favourite dress look like?

Betty：It's really colourful and there are a lot of patterns(图案)on it．

Linda：What colours do you like wearing?

Betty：You know…I hate black and white clothes．They're so boring．Red and pink are the most beautiful to me．

Linda：You think that clothes should be expensive(昂贵的)?

Betty：No，I don't．

Linda：Well．If not the price(价格)，then what is important about clothes?

Betty：The most important is to have your own style(风格)．It's great if you look different from everyone else．

Jim: Hi, Sue! How was your summer holiday?

Sue: It's fantastic.

Jim: Where did you go?

Sue: I went to London to see Big Ben and the Tower Bridge. They're great! How about you?

Jim: I had good time, too! 

Sue: Where did you go?

Jim: I went to Australia to see the Sydney Opera House. I like it very much!

    We can read it. This is the hall. We can sing and dance in it. And that's the playground. We can play basketball there.
