Jean is a bright young girl who comes from a rich and famous family. But the problem is that {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (每个人) in Jean's family is so busy that they can hardly find time to be with her. They often leave her alone at home during holidays. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (事实上)，Jean is quite lonely. and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (不开心的). So Jean spends a lot of time on her QQ. As time went by, they became good friends and often sent cards and small things to each other. When Jean's father told her that he was going on a {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (生意) trip to San Francisco, she asked him to let her go with him so that she could give David a {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (惊喜) for his birthday. But when she arrived at the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (地址) that he gave and knocked on David's door in San Francisco, she found that her special friend was a twelve year-old boy named Jim!

    A middle school organized a "No TV Week" programme. All the teachers, p{#blank#}1{#/blank#} and students worked together for this programme and most of them found it to be a very g{#blank#}2{#/blank#} one. The headmaster said, "The idea was not to s{#blank#}3{#/blank#} watching TV completely but for the students just to find how much time they watch TV and try to use the t{#blank#}4{#/blank#} for other things.

    What did the students say about this "No TV Week"? One boy said, "I can't believe, I haven't watched TV for a week, but it's been fun doing it." A girl student said, "I'm going to give up all TV programmes except for Our Animal World' and other language teaching p{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. I'm really pleased that I have more time to do things like walking and thinking. I e{#blank#}6{#/blank#} this ‘No TV Week very much." But not all the students thought it was good. Here one student Tom said something d{#blank#}7{#/blank#}, "I don't like 'No TV Week because I like watching TV. I have lots of favourite programmes and I don't want to miss them. But we have to do it."
