    Clara Hale was born on April 1, 1905 in North Carolina. In 1932, Clara faced the saddest thing in her life. Her husband died, (leave) her with her two children. To support her children, she  (get) a job as a babysitter(临时保姆)for children with mothers too busy (look) after their own children. During the next 25 years, she was a foster mother(养母)to over 40 children.

    Clara was a loving,(self) mother to over 800 children in her life. She devoted her whole life  these unwanted children. She died on December 18, 1992 with a feeling in her heart that she had changed people's lives.
