Yesterday I went out to play with my {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(同班同学), Tom. Our parents {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(允许) us to go and have fun. But they told us not to ride our bikes {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（马虎地)because the traffic was heavy on the road. We had a great day. First, we went to watch a popular movie called Rob-B-Hood.     Charlie was a special boy. When he was little, he had {#blank#}1{#/blank#}accident, which meant he couldn't walk. But that had never been a problem for him. The two boys were afraid, and although Waterworks was just to cry, he thought {#blank#}9{#/blank#}Charlie's happy words and finally said, "Wow, Charlie, what a funny face you have!"

     With these words, Waterworks  {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(feel) so good, and finally understood why Charlie was always so happy and cheerful.

    Which is better, writing or typing(打字)? These days, many college students have given up taking class notes by hand.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}, they type on laptops because they think typing is fast, and they can type{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (many) notes, But research has shown that taking notes by hand is in fact better for long term memory.

    In the research, students were asked to listen{#blank#}3{#/blank#} a teacher. Some took notes by typing on a laptop. The {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (other) took notes by writing them down. Then they were given a test. Both groups got almost the same result in{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (remember) the facts. But students who typed their notes did worse on conceptual (概念的) questions.

    Why is it like this? The answer is that writing by hand is slow, but it gives the students more time{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (think) about the questions they don't understand. They are{#blank#}7{#/blank#} to write down the main points. "This leads to a deeper understanding," say the scientists.

    However, the students typing notes on a laptop{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (usual) just write down what the teacher says word for word in class.     So if you want to remember something{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(well), write it by hand!
