Most people would get a doll or a toy from their parents when they were young. Sometimes they might like it {#blank#}1{#/blank#} much that they wanted more of it. Then they were in their way to become a real collector. Many collectors, young and old, start out in the same way: Their parents give them a toy, and another one, and another one, until the shelf is full {#blank#}2{#/blank#} all kinds of toys. Other collectors begin collecting when their parents or grandparents pass down {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (they) own collections. However they start, collectors are people {#blank#}4{#/blank#} take their interests to a whole new level.

    Here are some reasons why collecting is so cool. One of many benefits you can get from collecting things {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (be) just having as much fun with it as possible. Nothing can be more exciting than seeing your collection arranged {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (careful) on a shelf or in albums, ready for the world {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (see). There is also that excitement from waiting for a new toy or book. Another good thing about {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (collect) is that you get to learn so much as well. Many collectors learn a lot about the things they collect and become experts. An even cooler thing about having your own collection is that it can {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (sell) at a high price after a few years if it's a very special one.

    Collecting items is not only {#blank#}10{#/blank#} fun pastime but also a way to earn money. If you do not know how to begin your collection, ask your mum or dad for help, or visit a museum to find something that may interest you.

There are many wetlands (湿地) in China ‒ and some of them have become the world's important wetlands. The Chinese Yellow Sea Wetlands are {#blank#}1{#/blank#} them. They are in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. They are {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to many different kinds of animals. The world's {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Milu deer nature reserve (自然保护区) is on these wetlands. More than 700 Milu deer live there. There are not many red-crowned cranes (丹顶鹤) {#blank#}4{#/blank#} in the world, but every winter, you can see some in the red-crowned crane nature reserve in the Yellow Sea Wetlands.

    The {#blank#}5{#/blank#} in the wetlands is neither too high nor too low. There is  {#blank#}6{#/blank#} rain and sunshine, too. They are a good place for wildlife. But offering food and shelter for special kinds of animals is not the  {#blank#}7{#/blank#} reason we need to protect wetlands. Wetlands are important {#blank#}8{#/blank#} they also prevent floods. But some people want to {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the wetlands to make more space for farms and less space for wildlife.

    More people are beginning to realize the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} of wetlands and wildlife. Every year, on Feb 2, many activities are held to teach people about the wetlands.
