Neil Armstrong was an American astronaut. He made history {#blank#}1{#/blank#} July 20, 1969. He was the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (one) man to walk on the moon! When he {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (step) on the moon, he spent two and {#blank#}4{#/blank#}half hours outside the spacecraft. His famous saying is "That's one small step for a man, one great leap for mankind."

    Millions of people were watching this {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(amaze) event on TV. The moon shone {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (bright) that night. It was a great thing {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (look) up at the moon and know that a man was walking on it! For years, people had wondered if there would be any living {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(thing) on the moon. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} Armstrong only found moon rocks and moon dust.

    After he resigned(退休)from NASA in 1971,Armstrong taught at the University of Cincinnati to let students know {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (much) about space. He acted as a spokesman starting in January 1979.
