    At about thirteen years old, I felt very lonely. I didn't like my classmates, my parents or anyone else. My classmates didn't want to talk {#blank#}1{#/blank#} me and my parents were always saying that other kids were {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(good) than me. I thought I was the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(luck) person in the world.

    One day I had a big fight with one of my classmates. I was so angry {#blank#}4{#/blank#} I hit him in the face. Just at that moment, a boy stood up and {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(stop) the fight. He was the monitor of our class. After that, he often helped me and we became good {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(friend). Whenever I got angry or sad, he would help {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(I) to cool down. My life began to change because of the boy, my best friend. We spent a lot of interesting days together. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} time goes by, I have become happier with people and things. And people around me have {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (change), too. My parents don't shout at me {#blank#}10{#/blank#} more and my classmates become friendly to me.

    But now we go to different cities to study. How I miss the days when we were together!

    Volleyball can be a lot of fun to play. When {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (play) with friends, you can play with any number of people and anyone can join in. To be a competitive player takes lots of practice. Good height and jumping {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (able) help a lot.

    Volleyball was invented by William Morgan in 1895. He {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (try) to think up a game, that would be fun, like basketball. Of course the rules have changed some since then, but it {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (quick) became a popular sport at the YMCA. The name volleyball came about when a man named Alfred Halstead noticed how the game had a volleying nature.

    Volleyball was first played {#blank#}9{#/blank#} an Olympic sport in the 1964 Olympics. Japan won the first gold medal in {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (woman) volleyball match and the USSR(苏联) won the first gold medal in men's volleyball match.
