Protecting (保护) wild animals is our duty. Because wild animals are important to us. They live with us on the earth together. If there are no animals on the earth, we will not live on, 1. So we should 2 them to help us live a healthy life.

    3 some people still don't realize the importance(重要性) of protecting wild animals. They often 4 wild animals for food or for money. Every day there are many wild animals being killed. So lots of wild animals are 5. We can't see them anymore. Today the number of wild animals 6 becoming smaller and smaller. If we don't protect them, they will all die out. If this goes on, there will be no animals  7 on the earth.

    8, more and more people began to do many things to help protect wild animals. They ask people 9 wild animals. They get people to know that protecting wild animals is one of the most important things. Now many 10  have made some laws to protect wild animals. Now that (既然) wild animals are so important to man, we should do our best to protect them.            

    It was a fine spring day for a walk down the street. A mother and her two little girls walked along the sidewalk, happily laughing. 1 , hundred small alien ships appeared on the horizon. It started 2off some electric rays. People screamed. Children cried. There was 3 everywhere.

    There came the tingling sound of glasses, breaking everywhere. People fled in every 4. The mother was jostled(推) and lost hold of her5. She raced around shouting and crying for her kids. She thought they were lost to her forever.

    The sky cleared up. The aliens were 6. But there was no sight of the children. Heart-broken, the mother reached her house, crying her eyes out.

    She heard someone 7 "Mamma". Was it her kids? She frantically(发狂似地)8 around. There they were! Hand in hand they came running towards her. She ran towards them too. Her arms stretched out 9 to hug them. She opened her eyes. The pillow was wet. It was a dream!

    She raced to the kids' bedroom. Her lovely girls were sleeping peacefully. She kissed both their foreheads and 10"love you".

    As we know, life today has many problems. One of the biggest is 1, such as water pollution, air pollution, 2 pollution and so on. Water pollution makes our rivers and lakes 3. It kills fish and pollutes our drinking water. Air pollution is the most serious kind of pollution. 4 bad for living things in the world. Noise pollution 5 us talk louder and become angry 6.

    The Earth is 7 home and we must save it. We can't 8 rubbish here and there. We should go to work and school 9 bus or with our friends in the same car. Everybody 10 save the Earth.

The first astronauts

    Since the earliest times, people have looked up at the stars, the moon and the planets. Today people use modern machines 1at the sky. This is very different from the situation2years ago when people could only use their eyes. Perhaps they dreamed of3the universe.

    When did humans first go into space? The story began not so very long ago, 4the first astronauts were not people-they were animals.

Scientists wanted to make travelling to space as 5 as possible for humans. So they decided to experiment with animals and test6 in spaceflights. Insects, mice, frogs, dogs and monkeys were some of the animals7first went into space. Many of them 8, but they helped to make space travel safer for humans. For their great service, we 9forget these animals.

    Albert Ⅱ was the first monkey to go into space in 1949. Sadly he died 10 his spaceship landed back on Earth.

    11 the result was different for Ham the Monkey. His story ended happily when he return to earth12very good health.

Scientists wanted to know the answer to the important question: could 13 animal like Ham do the same things in space as he could do on Earth? The answer came when Ham 14 into space in 1961. Yes, he did everything well and lived for 15 16 years

     Nowadays, many people drive their cars to work. There are a lot of cars in the street and the 1is very busy. So sometimes 2is not easy for people to get to work on time. When you are going to be late, you only dream of taking a plane there. Can your dream3?

     Four engineers in Germany are4in making planes. They are making a newplane—Lilium jet. It doesn't look like a plane 5an egg. Many people think it looks funny and interesting. The great "egg" can take two people to the sky and 6three hundred kilometres in one hour. That's really great.

     Some people call Lilium jet "a flying car". Why?  Firstly, it's not difficult for people to learn to drive it. People can drive it just like driving a car. But it can go 7and farther than a car. Secondly, Lilium jet is not very big, only a quarter of a plane. So it doesn't need an airport. Only a small place is OK. It can stop8. In the future, the "flying car" will come into people's life and 9our ways of trip.
