Some of you might ask,“Are books {#blank#}1{#/blank#} interesting?” Believe it or not, books provide many {#blank#}2{#/blank#} that televisions or computers cannot. Since books use only words to tell a story, they can improve your imagination. The interesting words and sentences that are used in storytelling usually can't be {#blank#}3{#/blank#} on TV or on websites. They are sometimes so {#blank#}4{#/blank#} and moving that they can bring tears to your eyes. Books also help us to think {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and deeper. As we continue to read, we ask ourselves questions and try to find answers.

    Remember: the more you read, the more you grow.

    One day, I took my daughter to the park. As soon as we got there, my daughter{#blank#}1{#/blank#}to the swing (秋千) and asked for a push. When I {#blank#}2{#/blank#}my daughter, I noticed another girl trying to make her own swing {#blank#}3{#/blank#}high by herself. Her old grandmother was sitting on the chair nearby and smiling at us. Gradually, my daughter{#blank#}4{#/blank#} higher and higher by me. Then I walked towards the little girl. I asked if I {#blank#}5{#/blank#}a big push to her. She smiled and said “Yes”. For the next hour, I pushed the swings, and played with my daughter and the little girl. When we went home, I {#blank#}6{#/blank#}tired but very happy.

    One day two years later, after a day's work, I went to pick up my daughter before going home. While I{#blank#}7{#/blank#} outside the school gate, a little girl smiled sweetly at me and gave me a big hug. As I watched her running away, I{#blank#}8{#/blank#}that she was the girl whom I gave a big push in the park.

    So far, I{#blank#}9{#/blank#} her sweet smile and the warm hug that she gave me. In fact, if we give love to others, love will find its way back to us. It may travel from heart to heart or it may blossom (开花) in the heart. The love we share, the kindness we give, and the happiness we create{#blank#}10{#/blank#}back to us with a pleasant surprise.

    One of my best friends, Bob, has a very large police dog named Jack. Every Sunday afternoon, Bob and Jack have a walk in the park nearby. Jack likes these walks very much.

    One Sunday afternoon, I paid a visit to my friend. I stayed there fora{#blank#}1{#/blank#} time and my friend and I had a longer talk with each other than ever before. Soon it was time for them to take a walk in the park. We {#blank#}2{#/blank#} that, so Jack became worried about it. He walked around the room several times and then sat down in front of me and looked at me.

    But I still paid {#blank#}3{#/blank#} attention(注意) to him. I went on talking with my friend. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} Jack could not wait any longer. He went out of the room and came back a few minutes later. He sat down in front of me again. But this time, he held my hat in his {#blank#}5{#/blank#} . Soon I understood what Jack meant and so did my friend.

    Dominic is my neighbour. He lives in the flat {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. He moved in about two months ago. I've never seen him or spoken to him and I didn't know his name until last week. I'm a typical British neighbour-I don't need to  {#blank#}2{#/blank#}my neighbours.

    Dominic plays the guitar. Well, actually he's learning to play the guitar. Every evening he comes home and plays the guitar. For an hour. Or maybe two. Sometimes it continues through the night. And sometimes he sings  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. I can hear his voice clearly. In fact he's got quite a good voice. But he isn't a good guitarist.

    Now, I'm a  {#blank#}4{#/blank#}person. I enjoy music. And Dominic is learning to play the guitar. I really can't ask him to quit playing his favourite instrument, So I tolerate(容忍)his music, his guitar and his singing.
