Tina and Tara are twin sisters. They look 1, 2 they also have some differences.

    One day their grandfather came to see them with two gifts（礼物）.When he came into the house, he saw Tina and 3 her a gift. After a while, when he got into the garden, he saw 4 granddaughter “Tara”.In fact that was Tina. When he gave the other gift to her, she said, “You gave me one just now.” “No, I gave a gift to your sister Tina.” “Oh, grandfather, I'm Tina.” Just then Tara came into the garden, 5. “Now, grandfather, can you tell the differences 6 us?” “No, I can't. Can you 7 me?” “Yes, look. Tara is a little 8 than me. Her hair is longer and curlier than 9 .Now, grandfather, can you see?” “Yes, now I can tell you from Tara.     A little girl thought she was not beautiful and nobody liked her. So she was always 1 and didn't like to talk to others. However, one day, her mother 2  her a beautiful hair clip (发夹). When she wore it, she looked much more beautiful than before. She decided 3 it to school.

    On her way to school she found that 4 who saw her smiled at her. Most of her classmates said “hello” 5 her, but this never happened before. She thought that the beautiful hair clip had brought them all to her.     When she went 7 home after school, her mother 8 her, “Did you know you dropped your hair clip? I found it by the door this morning.” At this time, the girl understood that she hadn't worn the hair clip to school at all.

    When I was about 12 years old, I really wanted a new bike! I 1my parents my birthday wish, but I knew there was little hope because my family could 2have that money.

    On my birthday my parents told me they had my3outside in the back yard. At once I 4out to the yard. There was my bike, 5it wasn't the bike that I thought it would be. This one was pink, old and worn with age. It was so6! I thought I7  my parents' feelings because I could see the disappointment8their faces and I was sure they could see it on mine. I 9the old bike and rode it, feeling 10that I had made my parents feel this way. So I put on a smile, rode as fast as I could and didn't 11 ...

As time went by, I began to understand my parents gave me12 much more than just a rusty（生锈的）old bike. They gave me a life lesson about 13 .When you give something out of love, it doesn't matter what it is in fact. What matters is the love that is in it. I like to remember this 14because giving a gift is not about money. It's about how much love you can feel from it. Do remember, a gift that 15two dollars isn't any less valuable（有价值的）than one that costs one hundred dollars, or even more.

    On a snowy evening, a rich lady was standing by the road. She was worried. Her1had broken down. Just then a poor man named Robert came. He was on his way back home from work as usual.

    The lady wondered, “Is the man going to2 me? He looks very cold and hungry.” But to her surprise, he stopped and said with a smile. “What's wrong, madam?” The lady told him what was happening.

    After a while, the car was at last fixed by Robert. The lady wanted to pay him. “No, that is 3madam.” he said, “I was just helping someone in 4 If you really want to pay me back, I hope whenever you see someone in trouble, you should give him a hand.” A few minutes later, the lady 5 a shabby(破旧的)house by the road. She remembered Robert's words, so she stopped. The hostess(女主人)warmly asked her6. The lady could see that was a 7family and that they needed help. When the hostess was making tea in the kitchen, the lady8 500 dollars on a table and went away quietly. Robert came home later than before, thinking how 9 their life was. Their baby was to be born the next month but there was not 10 money. His wife went up to him, gave him a kiss and said softly, “Don't worry, dear! A stranger has helped us out!”

    Young Scottish brothers take on a list of 500 adventures

    For Ollie and Harry Ferguson, life is an adventure. For the past four years, the brothers have been working to1a list of 500 challenges and experiences.

    "The idea came about actually from the boys," their father, MacNeill Ferguson, said. "The boys were just asked one day if they could2 some cool things for us to do as a family. They put forward some impossible ideas firstly, like going on a trip to Mars, International Sausage Day and all kinds of3 kids requests. They built the list to a hundred, then kept finding new things we wanted to go and try ... until it got up to 500." They're all listed on the brothers' Facebook page.

    So far they have built an igloo, explored the wilderness, and sent their Lego men to the depths of the ocean and into outer space. Perhaps their biggest 4is playing out right now on the high seas. Last year, Ollie and Harry launched(使下水) a toy ship from the Scottish coast. The ship named "Adventure" sailed across the North Sea to Scandinavia. It then began a ride on a Norwegian boat and was launched 5, this time off the coast of west Africa. It's equipped with a tracking device(跟踪器), allowing the brothers to6every step of the sailing.  But the battery(电池) on the tracking device is becoming weak, so Harry and Ollie hope a passing ship 7 their boat and is able to recharge(充电) its battery, allowing the adventure to continue.

    "Harry, where would you like the boat to go?" Ferguson asked. "Without (a) 8 , that would be China because we all love China." Harry answered. He thought that even there are so many difficulties, the boat will reach China.
