One hot day, an ant was {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  for some water. After walking around {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  some time, she came to a river. To get to the river, she had to climb up a piece of grass.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} the ant was making her way up, she fell into the water.

 Just then a dove up a {#blank#}4{#/blank#} tree saw her. When the dove saw that the ant was in trouble, he {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  picked off a leaf and dropped {#blank#}6{#/blank#} into the water near the ant. The ant moved towards the leaf{#blank#}7{#/blank#} climbed up there. Soon it carried her safely to dry ground. Just at that time, a hunter (猎人) nearby was going to shoot the dove. As soon as the ant found {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the hunter was going to do, she quickly bit (咬){#blank#}9{#/blank#}  on the heel. Feeling the pain, the hunter {#blank#}10{#/blank#}  his gun. The dove was quick to fly away to safety.

    One of the most {#blank#}1{#/blank#} ['beɪsɪk] human needs is a home. A home is a safe place. While most people around the world {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (valuable) their homes, there are many people in every country who are homeless.

Some people are homeless for a short {#blank#}3{#/blank#} ['pɪəriəd] of time because they are moving from one place to another, and other people are not able to find a home. They must live on the streets or in a shelter.

There are many causes of {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (homeless). Sometimes people cannot keep a home because they do not earn enough money, or because they do not have a job. Sometimes people are homeless because they have a problem {#blank#}5{#/blank#} drugs or because they have a mental illness. No one is ever homeless {#blank#}6{#/blank#}purpose.

{#blank#}7{#/blank#} [wɒt'evə(r)] the cause of homelessness is, the effects are the same. Homeless people must work very hard to live. They cannot raise their children. Sometimes they must steal food just {#blank#}8{#/blank#} eat. The government in every country has worked for many years to {#blank#}9{#/blank#} [help] the homeless but more needs to be done. We must think of the homeless as people, not just as problems.

    Walden is a quiet small town in England. Cars c{#blank#}1{#/blank#} go into the centre of the town, so it is very pleasant to walk around.

    Spend at least half a day v{#blank#}2{#/blank#} the museum. It's on a hill outside the town in a lonely old building. The museum brings history to life. You can even ride on a horse and cart(马车) in the street. I was r{#blank#}3{#/blank#} interested in a 1950s living room in the museum. It was just l{#blank#}4{#/blank#} my grandmother's house. I lived there when I was a c{#blank#}5{#/blank#} .

    If you can't wait, there is a new exhibition(展览) opening soon. Walden is f{#blank#}6{#/blank#} for one thing—candy! If you like candy, this exhibition is the place for you. You can learn about its history. I n{#blank#}7{#/blank#} see so many different kinds of candies.

    But I won't go now b{#blank#}8{#/blank#} it will start on the 26^th of May.

    When you are there, have a look around Walden too. If you start in the main square and follow the green signs, they will t{#blank#}9{#/blank#} you to the museum, and you will see lots of other interesting things o{#blank#}10{#/blank#} the way, too.

    It is necessary to relax ourselves after the exam. There are some kinds of  activities for us to take part in. First of all, we can go for a w{#blank#}1{#/blank#} along the bank of the river. We can also go to the movies or listen to music. What's more, joining in a sports club is a good c{#blank#}2{#/blank#}, which can keep us healthy. For example, p{#blank#}3{#/blank#} football in the afternoon may relax ourselves. Above all, we should arrange(管理) our time p{#blank#}4{#/blank#} and live a regular(规律的) life. I hope all of us can have a wonderful time.
