Joan is a nice girl. One day when she was taking a walk in the park, she saw a bird lying on the grass. Joan found that there was something wrong with its wing(翅膀) and it counldn't fly. She ran to the bird and{#blank#}1{#/blank#}  it up. Joan took it home. She looked after the bird very carefully. Soon the bird got better. Joan let the bird{#blank#}2{#/blank#} away.
   Now, the bird often {#blank#}3{#/blank#} to Joan's window. Each time the bird {#blank#}4{#/blank#} some food by Joan. It seems that the bird enjoys visiting Joan. For Joan, the bird{#blank#}5{#/blank#} her friend since she brought it home.

    Ravi loved to talk to his grandma，who lived in India. Grandma had grown up in a small village called Tambaram and had lived there her whole life. Sometimes Ravi got to visit her with his mom and dad and his sisters. Grandma would make him tea and tell him{#blank#}1{#/blank#}about her childhood.

    When Ravi was younger，Grandma would often come to visit him in Texas. But now it was much{#blank#}2{#/blank#}for her to travel，So She stayed at home. He{#blank#}3{#/blank#}her visits. Smetimes she would call{#blank#}4{#/blank#}the phone. Grandma always called late at night. Dad explained to Ravi that when it was nighttime in Texas, it was daytime in India. Ravi loved{#blank#}5{#/blank#}her voice. He would always ask Grandma if she would make him a cup of tea. She would always laugh and gay，“Ravi sweetheart, I can send you my voice,{#blank#}6{#/blank#}not my tea.

    I am Jerry. When I was a child. My father bought a farm. This place was my {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. Every summer holiday my friends and I {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  to the farm. We enjoyed our time {#blank#}3{#/blank#} any homework.

    When I went to the farm for the {#blank#}4{#/blank#}time, I was only four years old. I could see lots of flowers. The farm had a big house. It had six rooms and a big kitchen. In the {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  room there was a beautiful fireplace, which gave us warmness in winter.

    Around the house there were trees. They were big and very old. They {#blank#}6{#/blank#} very green in the summertime. They gave beautiful shade. It was {#blank#}7{#/blank#}  when I walked under the trees. Many birds' songs made me feel {#blank#}8{#/blank#}.

    My favorite time on the farm was the quiet night. When there was the moon, I enjoyed looking at the stars {#blank#}9{#/blank#} . I spent a lot of time after dinner talking with {#blank#}10{#/blank#} parents. We would sit outside of the house under the beautiful sky and tell old stories.
