Mr and Mrs Green's house is far from the city. There are no big shops near their home. So they only go shopping at weekends.

    One Saturday morning, Mr and Mrs Green go shopping with their son, Tom. Mr Green drives the car to a big shop. It sells clothes. Mrs Green likes them. So she chooses a dress and tries it on. It looks great on her. She buys it for herself. Then she buys a shirt for her son and a sweater for her husband. After that, they go to a supermarket to buy some food and fruit.

    At about eleven o'clock, they all feel hungry. They have their lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, they want to go home. But they cannot find their way. Mr Green drives over to a woman and asks, "Excuse me, could you tell me where I am now?" The old woman looks at him and the car, "You are in your car, sir," she answers.

    Some kids are afraid of seeing the dentist, but not me. I have a funny dentist. His name is Dr. Smileface. Why does he call himself Dr. Smileface? Because he always smiles to all the kids. He has a cool waiting room. It has a big toy box. Dr. Smileface always wears funny hats. He has his face painted. He asks funny questions like "Do you eat flowers to make you so beautiful?" That makes me laugh. One time, he told me this joke, "What has lots of teeth but never goes to the dentist? A comb!" When I laughed, he pulled my tooth. It didn't hurt at all. He also teaches us how to take care of my teeth.

    It is a sunny winter day. Tim is going skating on the lake. Tim puts on his skates. He does not see the sign. Tim skates on the ice. It is fun. Suddenly he fall down the water. The dog crawls slowly to Tim. He takes Tim's jacket in his teeth. He pulls him out of the water. Finally a man finds them. He calls 911. The ambulance comes. Tim is safe. The dog is a hero. His picture is in the newspaper.

Aunt Jane's Birthday

    Christmas Day is coming. Aunt Jane's birthday is coming, too. Because she was born on Christmas Day. She will be 40 years old, Dad and Mum are going to take me to her house. We are going there by train. We are leaving(离开) on Friday evening, and we are coming back on Sunday afternoon. The birthday party will be on Saturday. I am going to give my dear Aunt Jane a birthday card. I am making it now. I use my colour pencils to draw some nice flowers on the card, and a small cat, too, because she likes cats. I think the card will be very nice. Dad says his sister will like it very much.
