Confucius is the greatest teacher in Chinese history. He was born on S{#blank#}1{#/blank#} 28^th, 551 B.C.in the Kingdom of Lu, in today's Shandong Province. When he was young, he and his mother had a hard l{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. At the age of fifteen, he began to learn music, and he did well in it. Then he went on l{#blank#}3{#/blank#} other subjects. When he was thirty, he b{#blank#}4{#/blank#} a teacher. He started his own school. He believed everyone should have a chance to get education whether they were r{#blank#}5{#/blank#} or poor. He had about, 3, 000 s{#blank#}6{#/blank#} and many of them became famous.

    Chinese see Confucius as the greatest thinker w{#blank#}7{#/blank#} had many wise ideas about human nature and behavior. And he is also regarded a{#blank#}8{#/blank#} the greatest teacher. His most important ideas are about kindness and g{#blank#}9{#/blank#} manners. He said young people should t{#blank#}10{#/blank#} care of the old. People should not only always think of themselves, but work for o{#blank#}11{#/blank#}. His ideas are around in people's everyday life. Today people can still hear the ideas, and they even go far into east a{#blank#}12{#/blank#} south Asia.

    Last Saturday, I went to a small village for a short trip with Mike. The village is in the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (东北) of Mike's city. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (根据) to the local people, it's a {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (神奇的) place.

    Although it was summer, I couldn't see any {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (苍蝇) in this village. It was very clean and the air was quite fresh. After we arrived, we went into a farmer's house first. He was cutting {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (羊毛) off a {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (绵羊) with a pair of {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (剪刀). The farmer told us the village is called "a village that's {#blank#}9{#/blank#} _(骑) on the sheep's back". People's clothes are woolen.

    There is a beautiful square in the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} ( 中心) of the village. When we went there, there were some old people dancing on the square. How relaxing!
