We have six lessons today. At 8:00 a. m. we have Chinese. At 8:50 a.m. we have Maths. At 10:00 a. m. we have Science. At 10:50 a.m. we have Music. From 11:30a.m. to 1:30 p.m. we have a lunch break. In the afternoon, we have English and Art.

    Today is August 17 th. The sun is shining. The wind blows gently. It is very hot. The Lis are at the beach on holiday. Look, Peter is swimming in the sea. He swims very fast. His lather shouts to him: "Don't swim too far. The sea is very deep." Peter's sister Jenny doesn't like to swim in the sea. She is collecting shells on the beach. She has a lot of shells in her bag. There is a little boy beside Jenny. Fie is eating a banana. Then he puts the peel on the sand. "Hey, boy. Don't throw the rubbish on the sand. It's dirty." Jenny says. The boy's face turns red.

Tom：It's soft. Is it a doll?

Alice：No, it isn't. It's a toy bear. It's brown.

Tom：I don't like toy bears, but I like robots.

Alice：Touch this, Kitty. How does it feel?

Kitty：It's hard and thick. Is it a book?

Alice：Yes, it is. Well done, Kitty. Do you like reading books?

    Today is New Year's Day. The students are very happy and busy. They are in the classroom now. They are having a big party. Chen Jie is singing and dancing. Amy is drinking water. Jim is eating a big apple. There are many fruits in front of him. Sarah is watching TV. Zhang Peng is talking to Jack. What is the teacher doing? She is writing "Happy New Year" on the blackboard. Everybody has a good time today.

    The weather in Beijing is different (不同的) in four seasons (季节).

    In spring (春天)，children enjoy the warm weather and the cute birds. The trees and the grass turn green. The flowers come out. But sometimes the sand storms (沙尘暴) are terrible (可怕的).

    In summer (夏天), it is very hot. Most of the time it is sunny. Sometimes the temperature can be 30℃. People like to go swimming and eat ice cream. It is very cool.

    In autumn (秋天). It is good to fly a kite and pick all kinds of fruits in this season. Most of the time it is quite dry (干燥的).

    In winter(冬天), there are sand storms, too. It is very cold and dry. It can be -28℃. It snows hard. People can watch the beautiful snow and go skiing.

    Hello. My name is Brody and I like dinosaurs. Last Sunday, I went to the dinosaur museum. It's a very interesting place. I spent all day there.

    There is a big room in the museum called the Dinosaur Hall. You can see a lot of dinosaur skeletons there.

    My favourite skeleton was the Tyrannosaurus rex (雷克斯霸王龙). These big animals lived about 66 million years ago. They were 12 metres long and 5 metres tall. They ate meat and they had very sharp teeth. They had strong legs and they could run very fast.

    I loved learning about all the different dinosaurs. Some scientists (科学家) work at the museum. They study the old dinosaur bones. I watched them working. One day I want to be a scientist and study dinosaurs.
