I have many toy animals. Look! This is a monkey. It is lovely. I like it very much. That's an elephant. It is big and strong. What are these? They're pigs. They're cute and fat. Where's my dog? Oh, it is under the table.

    Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright are brothers. Their job is to mend bicycles. In their spare time, they like inventing things. One day, they are watching some birds flying in the sky .They want to fly in the sky, too. They think they should invent a flying machine, so they can fly in the sky too. But it's a hard work to invent a flying machine. They work very hard. First, they watch how the birds fly. Next, they draw a picture of a flying machine. Then they build the machine, it is heavy and ugly, the machine can't fly to the sky. So they work again and make it lighter. Finally, they make the first plane in the world, though the plane only flies in the sky for twelve seconds.

Zip: What do you do on the weekend?

Dog: I usually go hiking. Sometime I go shopping. But not this weekend.

Zip: Why?

Dog: It's going to rain this Saturday.

Zoom: Really? I often play football. But I can't play this weekend.

Monkey: I usually watch TV and play the piano on the weekend. But my TV doesn't work. And my piano teacher is ill.

Dog: Why don't we read some books together(一起) ?

My mum bought(买) some new books for me.

Zoom: Great!

    It's Saturday today. It's a sunny day. John and Janet want to go to the cinema. Janet looks at her watch. "Oops! The film starts in twelve minutes.  We'll be late. We need eighteen minutes to get there. Let's run!"

     "Don't worry, Janet. I know a short cut," says John. Then John takes her a different way. They walk through the garden and out of the front gate. Suddenly they are beside the cinema. Janet looks at her watch. "I can't believe it. We have two minutes left. Thank you, John!"

My name is Dave. I'm at a new school. It is my first day. My new teacher is friendly. But I have no friends. I'm worried(担心的,闷闷不乐的).I go to math class. I make a friend. She is Sally. She is cute. I go to Chinese class. I make a friend. His name is Tom. He is gentle(温和的,有礼貌的).I go to the lunch room. I make lots of friends. They help me. School is over. I say goodbye to Sally. I'm happy now.
