It is the Thanksgiving Day . I have the strong desire to write about something to express my thanks to the people around me.

    I {#blank#}1{#/blank#} ( bring up ) by my grandparents {#blank#}2{#/blank#} are as kind and hardworking as thousands of Chinese peasants in a distant village. They worked in the field all day long and took good care of me as well .

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} ( Honest) speaking, my parents are ordinary people. But I must say that they are great educators, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} they educated me to be an {#blank#}5{#/blank#} ( dependent ) and useful man to society.

    My teachers, selfless，generous, devote themselves to {#blank#}6{#/blank#} ( help)  each individual student achieve his/her ambition.

    Meanwhile , I can share my happiness and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (sad) with my peer students .I am happy to be with them because we have much  {#blank#}8{#/blank#} common.

    Keeping a diary in English is one of the {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(effect) ways to improve our English writing ability.

    {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(compare) with other forms of writing, it is shorter and takes less time. It can help us to develop the habit of thinking in English. If we persist in this practice, gradually we {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(learn) how to express ourselves in English. In keeping a diary in English, we certainly run up against many {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(difficult). In the first place, it often happens {#blank#}5{#/blank#} we have trouble finding and phrases to give expression to our mind. Secondly, there are many idiomatic ways of saying things in Chinese. And it is {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(extreme) hard for us to put them into English properly.

    As far as I'm concerned, my {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(recommend) is that we should always have a notebook and a Chinese-English dictionary {#blank#}8{#/blank#} easy reach. Whenever something beats {#blank#}9{#/blank#}, we can first put it down in our notebook and then consult our dictionary. We can also turn to our English teacher for help, if necessary. In {#blank#}10{#/blank#} word, I believe that it is of great use to keep a diary in English for the development of our writing skills.

    Chinese Kung fu is a{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(tradition) Chinese culture. It is probably one of the earliest sports that use both{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(strong) and brain.

    The theory of kung fu is based{#blank#}3{#/blank#}classical Chinese philosophy. Over its long history it has developed as a unique combination of exercise, practical self-defense, self-discipline, and art. It can date back to ancient times{#blank#}4{#/blank#}people used sticks to fight against wild animals and they gradually{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(gain) experience in self-defense.

    Chinese kung fu is a large system of theory and practice,{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(combine) techniques of self-defense and health-keeping. In sports like track and field and boxing, an athlete{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(usual) has to retire from full participation in his 30s. That is because{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(injury) suffered during years of active sport participation at a young age affect our ability to continue exercising in later life. In Chinese kung fu, however, a difference{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(make) between "external"(外部的) and "internal"(内部的) kung fu. It's said that in external kung fu, you exercise your muscles, bones and skin while in internal kung fu, you train your spirit, qi and mind. So the external body weakens later in life, but on{#blank#}10{#/blank#}contrary, internal kung fu continues.

    There was once a small boy who would never get dressed when his parents told him to, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} would he wear what they wanted him to. He preferred unusual clothes, but above all, he liked taking his time. His parents were always in a rush, and wanted him to be much {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (quick), but the boy didn't like this, and he would slow down even more.

    One day, his parents got so angry when he refused to dress that they told him to go out without any clothes at all. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (surprise), the boy followed his parents out of the door. He held a belief {#blank#}4{#/blank#} nobody could do anything to him.

    As the boy stood outside his house with nothing on, {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(wait) for his parents's car, along came the local pig farmer. The farmer, {#blank#}6{#/blank#} was almost deaf, had very poor eyesight. Not only that, but also he {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(forget) his glasses that day. When he saw the boy's pink skin, he thought it was one of his pigs. Shouting and pushing, the farmer forced {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(he) into a pig cage. The boy begged him to stop but the deaf farmer couldn't hear.

    When found by his parents, the terrified boy never again wanted to be mistaken {#blank#}9{#/blank#} anything other than a human being. Now he's the first {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (get) dressed, and always looks neat.
