Tiehua Village lies in Taitung Taiwan．It is a(n){#blank#}1{#/blank#}place to visit and is full of culture and life．Now many people live in busy places and have busy {#blank#}2{#/blank#} ．They are always in a hurry(匆忙) and don't have a lot of time to relax．That's {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Tiehua Village is so nice．It is a quiet，relaxing place．But that doesn't{#blank#}4{#/blank#}it is boring!

    Tiehua Village isn't really a village．It's a small park with space{#blank#}5{#/blank#}concerts．In the evening，visitors call enjoy live(现场演出的)music．The music is played by local(当地的)and foreign artists．Some visitors come to Tiehua Village in the late afternoon {#blank#}6{#/blank#} the sun goes down．They find good places to sit and wait for the concert to {#blank#}7{#/blank#}．

    People can see a lot of arts at Tiehua Village，too．Local artists bring their work there and show it．There are also a few {#blank#}8{#/blank#}and a small market．People can buy things there to remember {#blank#}9{#/blank#}visits．The Tiehua Bar {#blank#}10{#/blank#}special drinks made from local ingredients原料)．

     At Tiehua Village, everyone can have a good time.

    The Great Pyramid of Giza is one of the Wonders of the Ancient World. It was {#blank#}1{#/blank#}  more than 4,000 years ago in Egypt. It is so {#blank#}2{#/blank#}  that millions of tourists from around the world come to visit it every year.

    In Egypt there are over 80 pyramids and the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} one is the Great Pyramid. It {#blank#}4{#/blank#} on the west bank of the Nile. In fact, all the pyramids along the Nile are on the west bank. The ancient Egyptians compared the rising of the sun to the beginning of life and the setting of the sun to the end of life. That is {#blank#}5{#/blank#} their dead bodies were buried(埋葬) on the west bank of the Nile.

    You can {#blank#}6{#/blank#} imagine how huge the Great Pyramid is. It has over 2 million blocks. Some are as heavy as five school buses. Although they were heavy, workers were {#blank#}7{#/blank#} to put a block into the pyramid every three minutes.

    The workers, Egyptian men and women, worked in teams. The teams had different {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. Some dug up the stones. Others moved them. Another team cut the stones. The last group put the stones into the pyramid. There were so many different teams, but the pyramid is perfect. No stone is in the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} position.

    But how did the Egyptians move those heavy stones to the top {#blank#}10{#/blank#} any modern machinery (机械) ? No one knows for sure. Many things about the Great Pyramid are still a mystery.

    Next time you're in a public place, take a look-around you. And {#blank#}1{#/blank#}how many people are using their phones. I can tell you now that it is probably more than half, whether you're on a bus, in a care {#blank#}2{#/blank#}simply walking down the street.

    I'm not saying that I am not an example of this, but it {#blank#}3{#/blank#}mazes(使惊愕) me how people can spend so much time on their phones without {#blank#}4{#/blank#}to others. Has it gone too far?

    Recently, my smart phone broke and had to be {#blank#}5{#/blank#}off for repair for a week or so. I had to use a really old, basic phone just to keep me in touch with my family and {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. All I could do on this phone was to send text messages, make calls and play one game. And I loved it. I loved being  {#blank#}7{#/blank#}from the Internet, and I really didn't mind not having updates(更新) about what my friends were doing. It allowed {#blank#}8{#/blank#}to spend more time enjoying my time in London and watching the people {#blank#}9{#/blank#}me and really see what was going on.

    However, I knew that as soon as I got my smart phone back I would be one of those{#blank#}10{#/blank#}once again. Perhaps I should just go back to using the basic phone and forget I ever got my smart phone back.

    Today is 1st June. Betty and Jenny are in Paris. They arrived {#blank#}1{#/blank#} days ago.

    Yesterday, they visited the Louvre Museum. And in the evening, they {#blank#}2{#/blank#} their dinner in a French restaurant.

    This morning they went to the street {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Betty loved them. And she {#blank#}4{#/blank#} her grandma a present. In the afternoon, they went to the Eiffel Tower by {#blank#}5{#/blank#}.

Tomorrow they're going to visit a famous palace and {#blank#}6{#/blank#} a trip on the River Seine by boat.
