Kate {#blank#}5{#/blank#} twelve. She {#blank#}6{#/blank#} from America. Ken is eleven. He is from England. We {#blank#}7{#/blank#} in Class 5 Grade 1. Kate can speak a little Chinese, but Ken can't. They live in Guangzhou with their parents. Ken's mother {#blank#}8{#/blank#} a teacher. Kate's father {#blank#}9{#/blank#} a teacher too. Kate and Ken {#blank#}10{#/blank#} studying in the same school. On Sundays, they often play football with their Chinese friends. They love China and their Chinese friends.

    Once upon a time, there was a poor boy called Dick. One day, he decided {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(go) to London and find a job.

    When he arrived {#blank#}2{#/blank#}London, a rich businessman gave him a job and said," If you work hard for me, you {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(have) enough food." Dick worked very hard and he was happy every day.

    Soon {#blank#}8{#/blank#}businessman returned with the cat. He was very happy and said," The cat caught all of the rats on the ship and I could had a very good sleep at night. {#blank#}9{#/blank#}a brave cat !" The businessman gave Dick a lot of money as a reward.

    Dick worked even harder than before for the businessman and learned everything he could. Finally, he started a very {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(succeed) business of his own.
