Betty: Apples. Because they are sweet.

Peter: I like fruit. But I don't like grapes. They are sour（酸的）. I like oranges. They are yummy.

Bill: I like potatoes. They are delicious. What about you, Ann?

Ann: I don't like potatoes. But I like fish. It's fresh.

Ben: I like fish, too. It's very healthy.

    My school is very beautiful. It is in Dianjun District, Yichang City, Hubei Province. Do you know it? It is Dainjun Primary School. I like my school very much.

    There is a big playground in my school. We have P.E. class on the playground and we often play sports on it, too. Our teaching building has five floors. My classroom is on the fifth floor. It is big and clean. The computer rooms are on the third floor. There is a library on the second floor. There are many books in the library. I often read books here. There are some music rooms and art rooms in the teaching building, too.

    The teachers in my school are very kind. The students are very polite and smart. I am happy in my school.

    My name is Mike. I'm ten years old. I have a big family. Look, my father is watching TV. My mother is reading a book. My grandma is sitting on the sofa. My brother is doing his homework. I have two sisters. They are playing with toys. I love them.

The lion and the goose

    It is a hot day in summer. A lion is walking along a lake. He is looking for something to eat. He is very hungry. A goose is swimming in the water. The lion is very happy to see him. “This is my lunch,” The lion says to himself（自言自语）.

“Hello Mr. Goose!” “Go away, you're bad lion” says the goose. “I have good news for you.” “What is it?” ask the goose. “I don't want other animals to hear it. Please come here.” Says the lion. The poor goose gest out of the water and runs to the lion. The lion eats him up.

    Today is Children's Day. There is no school today. There are many children in the park, at the zoo and in the cinema. Some children are with their parents(父母亲) or teachers and others are with their friends. Everybody is happy. I am at the Children's Palace with my classmates. There are many interesting places in the Children's Palace. The girls are singing and dancing with some American children. Weiwei and I are playing video games(电子游戏) now. We are all having a good time.
