Last year, I took a vacation in the USA with my family. On the way back to my hotel room one day, a lady rushed up to me and asked me {#blank#}1{#/blank#} I knew first aid (急救). I said, "Yes. I took a course once." She told me {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (come) quickly because her husband was having a heart attack (心脏病). I walked into her room and saw her husband {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (sit) in a chair.     I hadn't done CPR outside of class, but I took the information that I had learnt and went with it. I did it for as long as I could. I didn't know {#blank#}8{#/blank#} happened to the man for a long time. Then one day, the hotel called my mum, asking about me. Later the man sent me a thank-you letter.     Three years ago, I {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (take) a first aid course as part of my PE requirement, and I learnt CPR in that class. It was required so I had to take the course, but I'm glad that I did.

    My mother only had one eye. And because of this, I never wished her to show up in my school, being afraid that my classmates would find out I had {#blank#}1{#/blank#} ugly mother.

    One day during elementary school, I was terribly ill. My mother {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (come).

    "Your mom only has one eye?!" asked some of my classmates. I was so embarrassed.

    I wished {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (I) mother would just disappear from this world. "If you make me teased（嘲笑）, why don't you just die?" I shouted at her, taking no notice of the sad look on her face. My mother just handed me some medicine and {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (leave) without saying anything.

    Years later my dream came true. I was quite successful and lived alone. When you were little, you got into an accident and lost your eye. As a mom, I couldn't stand {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (watch) you live with only one eye. So I gave you mine. I was never angry {#blank#}10{#/blank#} you and I never regretted what I did because I love you…"

    I cried out aloud. Only then did I realize how beautiful my mother was!

    The whole school was talking about the winter camp. And everyone {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (be) looking forward to it except me because I thought I would get homesick. But it was the way we grew up.

After being so afraid of {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (fall), it was comfortable not to fear it any more.

    The next day {#blank#}8{#/blank#} I didn't want to go ski jumping, I was chosen to do first. But when my {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (foot) left the ground, I felt I was flying and it was wonderful.
