My 14-year-old brother John and I saw the coat at the same time. The thick black woolen coat was soft, and it cost only ＄28. We looked at each other, saying n{#blank#}1{#/blank#}, but John's face was shining with joy. Dark woolen coats were p{#blank#}2{#/blank#}with boys just then, and could cost several hundred dollars. When my mother told this to one of his teachers, he said, "It must be his coat!" One day, in the library, my brother and I ran into a friend. "Could this be John?" he asked. John s{#blank#}9{#/blank#} hands with him, like a gentleman(绅士)!

    Two weeks ago, on a hot summer afternoon, I was about to cross a little busy road when I noticed an old grandpa with a heavy bag on his back just a few meters from me. He walked painfully and it looked as if his legs had no strength to even c{#blank#}1{#/blank#} him. A few minutes later, I realized I'd forgotten to cross the road. And he'd seen me looking at him.

    I loved my grandparents very much. That was why .I didn't f{#blank#}2{#/blank#} to smile at the old people whenever I saw them. Now I met this grandpa. I didn't want to m{#blank#}3{#/blank#} the chance, either. He moved slowly to me and handed me a note. There was an address written on it.     Then I asked where he came from; he replied w{#blank#}6{#/blank#} that he was from the countryside about 10 kilometers from here and came to visit a relative. I was shocked because he never looked as if he could take even two steps without f{#blank#}7{#/blank#}. So without a second thought I called a taxi for him. The grandpa wasn't r{#blank#}8{#/blank#} for the ride, for he had no money. I paid for his j{#blank#}9{#/blank#} and asked the driver to drop him at his place safely.

    When I turned to look at the grandpa who said thanks to me with a few drops of happy tears on his face，many unforgettable m{#blank#}10{#/blank#} of my grandparents flashed in my mind, making me feel like crying.
