My name is Jim White. I live in America. I had a very {#blank#}1{#/blank#} experience on Sunday. I saw a UFO in the daytime. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} this spring, I went outside with my friend Bill {#blank#}3{#/blank#} lived close to me. We were walking to a hill {#blank#}4{#/blank#} I saw a large bright light dancing in the sky. I called Jim and asked him to look up. He kept {#blank#}5{#/blank#} , “What is that?” “A UFO!” I shouted excitedly. I{#blank#}6{#/blank#} it was round and red in the center.
After we looked at {#blank#}7{#/blank#} for a moment, we found it seemed that it had wings, but it was still round. Bill would not believe me when I told him it {#blank#}8{#/blank#} be a UFO. We shouted{#blank#}9{#/blank#} it and we wished that it would land. We wanted to know {#blank#}10{#/blank#} there was an alien in it. But soon it disappeared. I guessed we scared it off.
Do you believe me? It's a true story.

    I once had an unforgettable experience that has affected and directed the way I think and act now.

    When I was about seven years old, my grandfather {#blank#}1{#/blank#} me to a fish pond on a farm and told me to throw a stone into the water. He told me to watch the circles created {#blank#}2{#/blank#} the stone. Then he asked me to think of myself as that stone. “You may create lots of circles in your life, but the waves {#blank#}3{#/blank#}come from those circles will disturb (干扰) the peace of all the people around you,” he said {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. “Remember that your circle may spread to many other circles, meaning that your thoughts or actions may disturb others' {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. You are responsible for what you put in your circle. If you want, the good or peace that comes from your circles{#blank#}6{#/blank#}to others. At the same time, the anger or jealousy (嫉妒) coming from your circle will also spread to other circles. You should allow the good feelings {#blank#}7{#/blank#} others, not the bad ones, because you are responsible for both.”

    That was the {#blank#}8{#/blank#} time I heared my grandfather tell me these. I had realized that each person's {#blank#}9{#/blank#}or anger can move out into the world. If we are filled with doubt or anger, we cannot create world peace. We spread the feeling and thoughts that we hold inside, whether we speak {#blank#}10{#/blank#} or not. These circles are spreading into the world. Creating beauty or making troubles to other circles of life.

    After a quick breakfast, I went into the lecture hall in a hurry．A famous teacher was{#blank#}1{#/blank#}to the students．He was holding up a $100 bill．Then he said to the three hundred students，"Who would like this $1 00 bill?" The students put up{#blank#}2{#/blank#}hands at once．Then he said，"I am going to give this $100 bill to one of you，but{#blank#}3{#/blank#}，let me do this．"He made the bill into a ball．Then he said. "Who{#blank#}4{#/blank#}it now?" The hands went back into the air．"Well," he said，"what if I do this?" and he{#blank#}5{#/blank#}it on the floor and stepped on it．He picked up the{#blank#}6{#/blank#}bill and said．"Who still wants it?" Hands went back again into the air．

    "My friends,"? he said，"you have learned a valuable(有价值的){#blank#}7{#/blank#}today．No matter what I did to the $100 bill! Many{#blank#}8{#/blank#}in our life，we are dropped and stepped on．We feel as if we are worth nothing．But remember, no matter what{#blank#}9{#/blank#}happened to you，you will never lose your value：You are{#blank#}10{#/blank#}valuable to those people who love you．Your value doesn't come from what you do or whom you know, but who you are．"

    I'm glad {#blank#}1{#/blank#} your letter. Thank you for {#blank#}2{#/blank#} for the weather and my health. But I am sorry to tell you that I have to stay at home because of the heavy fog and haze(雾霾).

    Since the winter last year, the fog and haze {#blank#}3{#/blank#} a lot of times. It has done great harm to our daily life. Many traffic accidents {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. More and more people were ill and the doctor said the serious disease{#blank#}5{#/blank#}by the fog and haze, quite a lot of flights have to be {#blank#}6{#/blank#} off , and a great number of people have to stay at home for fear of the poisonous(有毒的) air.

    According to the Chinese Academy of Science, driving cars and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} coals are two main reasons. People have been told: don't do outdoor sports. If you have to go out, wear a mask(口罩); wash your face and clean your nose as soon as you get home.

    People {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the importance of protecting environment. The government suggest everyone{#blank#}9{#/blank#} to work or school with the public traffic, such as the bus and the underground. Also we {#blank#}10{#/blank#} more trees.

    But students should choose the{#blank#}7{#/blank#}way to speak out. We should {#blank#}8{#/blank#} teachers. They are older than you and have more experience. So, never {#blank#}9{#/blank#}rude words when you don't agree with them.
