When Mr. Jones went to a restaurant one day, he left his coat near the door. There was nothing in the pocket of the coat when he left it, so he was 1 when he took his coat after his meal and found the pocket full of jewellery.

    There was a waiter near the door. 2 Mr. Jones said to him, "Somebody 3 a mistake. He put some jewellery in my coat. Take it, and when he comes back, give it to him." The waiter took it and went away.

 Suddenly another man came in with a coat just like Mr. Jones'. "I'm sorry," said the man 4. "I made a mistake. I took your coat and you have got mine. Please give me my coat and jewellery." Mr. Jones answered. "I give the jewellery to the waiter. He will give it to you."

    Mr. Jones called the manager of the restaurant, but the manager said, "We have no waiters here. We only have 5." "You give the jewellery to a thief," shouted the other man, "I shall call the police." Mr. Jones was afraid and paid the man a lot of money 6 the jewellery.

On January 8^th, 2018, third-grade student Wang Fuman's hair turned white in the temperature of -9℃ as he walked for over an hour, traveling 4.5 kilometers, to Zhuan Shan Bao Primary School in Xinjie County, southwest China's Yunnan Province.

"'Ice boy' Wang's dream of traveling over 2,000 kilometers from his homework in Yunnan Province to visit the capital Beijing finally came true on January 19^th after his frozen hair picture caught public attention, "The Beijing News reported. 

Wang with his father and sister traveled from Yunnan's Ludian County, arrived in Beijing on January 19^th, 2018. Over the next three days, they visited Beijing's the Palace Museum and the People's Public Security University of China so that he can learn something about how to become a good police officer.

That evening, Wang recalled the many exciting "firsts" he had experienced since he set foot in the capital, including the first time he had traveled so far, his first flight, his first time eating the Beijing duck, the first time he saw tall buildings and cars.

Wang said that Beijing was warmer than his hometown and he wanted to see how students go to school in Beijing to find out if they need to walk a long way like he does.

Lily：I agree with you. They worked and danced tirelessly and excitedly that night. Because of their support ，the opening ceremony was held very{#blank#}5{#/blank#} . 

Li Hua：That's right. {#blank#}6{#/blank#}at the opening ceremony were also wonderful. Many young people danced and sang for it. Sichuan Opera Face changing also appeared. 

Lily：I watched that. It's an{#blank#}7{#/blank#}opera with over hundreds of years' history. However，its history is {#blank#}8{#/blank#}longer than that of the Golden Sun Bird which had been put at the Jinsha museum. 

Lily：You mean the Golden Sun Bird. I know that. When the main torch was lit by torchbearers（火炬手），four golden birds and the sun also{#blank#}9{#/blank#}brightly. 

Li Hua：Because it symbolizes hope and brightness，we{#blank#}10{#/blank#}it as the logo（徽标） of the sports event. Moreover，I hope you can have a good trip in Chengdu!

The story was a true one and still moved me deeply. Thirty years ago, I got to know a 1 lady named Rose. She had no kids and lived alone. When I went to visit her, I always took Rose some coffee and food. One day she said she wanted to 2 me to have lunch. 

We walked from my workplace to a little restaurant on David Street. On the way, I began to worry. I knew that she had no money, but if I offered to  3 the lunch, I was afraid I would hurt her. 

There were many people in the restaurant, and all of them were happy. Rose told me to sit and drink coffee by the window. Then she went to 4 in the kitchen. After about 20 minutes, she came out and sat with me. She just paid for one meal and we started to 5 the delicious food together. She told me that the restaurant let people work for a meal if they had no money, or would give them a free meal if they were not able to work. To my surprise, she also explained that the workers who were working there were all volunteers. 

I 6 remember the beautiful afternoon I shared with Rose. Though we had a meal together only once, it was paid by Rose's work. The weather was warm and bright, and everyone's smile was warm and bright too. 

I'm still thinking that life cannot be easy to us, but we can still do something for our friends and neighbors. The world will be nicer if everybody would like to share happiness with others. 

It will never be dark if there is a light in everyone's heart. 

Once there was a rich man. But his son had no goals in life and wasn't happy. One day, he handed his son {#blank#}1{#/blank#} map and said, "I want you to go to the marked place and find a treasure."

I didn't use to like my dad.

When he knew that I was poor in math in the primary school, he made me stay with my aunt whose husband was a math teacher.

I wanted to stop practicing the piano because I thought it was boring. But he didn't allow me. He made me practice every day and warned me not to be lazy.

I would always remember how he punished me for not being good. Once I went to play computer games with some classmates instead of going to school. After knowing what happened, he hit me in the face and stopped giving me any pocket money.

I would also remember that when I asked him to buy me a pair of expensive sports shoes, he turned me down. But he bought me a very good computer to have online lessons.

When I was at university, Mom wrote me lots of letters but he just sent money. And whenever I called home, he acted like he didn't want to talk and he always said," I'll get your mom."

But while I am enjoying the pleasure that playing the piano brings me, I know his love. When I am enjoying the success of being a top student, I know his love. Dad loves me just as Mom does, but he shows it differently.
