    I have two brothers. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (they) names are Lukas and Andreas. They {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (be) 16 and 19. My mother is Christine. She is a teacher. She {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (work) in No.1 high school. My dad, Dieter, is a doctor in {#blank#}7{#/blank#} hospital. There are four bedrooms and a small garden in our house.     It is a sunny day. Amy wants {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (visit)her best friend, Julie. She calls Julie and knows {#blank#}2{#/blank#} she lives. But on the way, Amy {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (forget)how to get there. She stops in front {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a yellow house, and asks an old woman about Julie's house.

    "Oh, I know that girl," says the woman." {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (she) house is behind the trees, but you can't walk there. It'll take you {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(hour)to get there on foot. You must take a bus. "{#blank#}7{#/blank#} ?" Amy thinks. "I can see Julie's house from here. It's not far." But she doesn't ask anything. She just thanks the woman and {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(leave).

    Amy doesn't take a bus. When she {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (walk) to a big river, she finds the old woman is right. There aren't any{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (boat)on the river. Julie's house is on the other side(一边)of the river.

    An illusion(错觉) is something that fools the senses or the mind. An illusion may make you something exists (存在）when it really {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (do) not. It may be something that appears to be one thing, but it's really something else. David Copperfield calls {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (he) an illusionist. He is someone who makes or creates illusions.

    Many people have an interest in magic, but {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (many) of them are not performing and getting paid for it by age 12. Nor are they teaching college classes in magic at age 16. When he got to college himself, Copperfield got the leading part in a play called Magic Man. Besides acting and singing, he created all the magic in the show.     Copperfield is a huge {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (succeed) as an illusionist, but he has other projects as well. He said that his best work is Project Magic. Copperfield developed a number of tricks done with the hands. These tricks can help hospital patients who need {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (improve) their physical condition. Learning to do the tricks also build confidence. Patients in the program can speak {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (proud) that they can do tricks that healthy people can't do.

    Like many magicians, Copperfield is interested {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the history of magic. He has created a museum and library in which books, articles and old medical equipment {#blank#}10{#/blank#} keep and shown. By keeping track of history, Copperfield hopes to save magic for the future.
