Mr.Smith looks young,but he is sixty-eight years old.He has some children.One of his sons is a doctor.The other is studying in America.The daughter is working with her father.Now, Mr.Smith works in a factory near here.He thinks Chinese people are friendly and Chinese food is very good.He can speak a little Chinese.So he goes to Chinese classes every day.He says it is hard to learn Chinese.And he must study hard.

    It was rainy last weekend. Amy and her parents couldn't go hiking(去远足), so they stayed at home. They were busy all day. Her mother cooked the meals for them and did the dishes(洗碗). Her father cleaned the room. He cleaned all the six rooms. Amy help them with the housework. They were very busy but very happy, because they all had lots of things to do.

Neighbours

    The Browns are the Smiths neighbours. Mr. Brown's name is John. But when his neighbours talk about him, they call him "Mr. Going-to-do". Do you know why? Mr. Brown always says he is going to do something, but he never does it.

    Every Saturday Mr. Brown goes to the Smiths back door and talks to Mr. Smith. He always says he is going to do something.

    "I'm going to clean my house today," he says, or "I'm going to wash my car tomorrow morning, and tomorrow evening I am going to the cinema with my wife." or "These trees in front of my house are too big. I'm going to cut them down next week or I'm going to have a picnic with my friends next week." But Mr. Smith knows his neighbour isn't going to do those things.

    Mr. Smith often says to his only child Dick, "Are you going to do something? Then do it. Don't be another 'Mr. Going-to-do. '"

    There is a new park near my house. It's a fine day today. My family and I are in the park now. On my left, there is a big tree. On my right, there is a big lake. There are many flowers and trees near the lake.

    There's a small hill behind the lake. Near the lake, there is a sign: "Don't swim in the lake!" There is a playground in the middle of the park. There are some shops near the gate. They are not big. The park is so beautiful.

"There is no need now." said Einstein. "Everyone here knows me."
