On September 11, 2001, he arrived at his building at around 8:30 a.m. He was about to go up when he decided to get a coffee first. He went to his favorite coffee place even though it was two {#blank#}4{#/blank#} east from his office. As he was waiting in line with other office {#blank#}5{#/blank#}, he heard a loud sound. Before he could join the other people outside to see what was going on, the first plane had already hit his office building. They stared in {#blank#}6{#/blank#} at the black smoke rising above the burning building. He felt lucky to be alive.

    Kate Smith will never forget the date, too. Now she still {#blank#}7{#/blank#} working in her office near the two towers.
