With the change of different seasons, people will need different kinds of clothes. When school begins in autumn, it is cool. So at this time of year, people often wear something such as shirts, coats and pants. Winter usually comes in December. It is very cold in the last two months. And people should wear warm and heavy clothes. Jackets, sweaters, hats, and gloves can also keep people away from the cold weather. Spring is usually from March to May. In spring, the weather changes again and gets nice and warm. People begin to wear cool clothes. With the summer months coming, people often wear shorts, T-shirts or something else to keep cool. It gets very hot in July and August. Don't forget sunglasses and sunshades(遮阳伞), for they are both what you need in the hot sunny season. 

    Do you like drinking coke, coffee, juice or milk? Do you often drink them instead of water? However, of all the things we eat and drink, water is the most important. Not all of us understand this but it is quite true. Human body can go without food for a long time, but two or three days without water usually makes people die.

    Many people do not understand how much water the human body needs to work well. What is true is that many people do not drink enough, especially in hot weather. Most people drink only when they are thirsty but often need more water after they take exercise.

    Does anyone know what is the 65%-75% of human body? It is water. If we do not have enough water, we will feel tired and become ill. So, do you know what the best drink is? It's water.

    A poor farmer had a friend who was famous for the wonderful apple trees he grew.

    One day, his friend gave the farmer a young apple tree and told him to plant it. The farmer was pleased with the gift, but he did not know where to plant it.

    He was afraid that if he planted the tree near the road, strangers would steal the fruit. If he planted the tree in one of his fields, his neighbours would come at night and steal some of the apples. If he planted the tree near his house, his children would take the fruit. Finally he planted the tree in his woods. But without sunlight and good soil(土壤), the tree soon died.

    Later the friend asked the farmer why he had planted the tree in such a poor place. "What's the difference?" the farmer said angrily and then told what he had thought.

    "Yes, "said the friend, "but at least someone could have enjoyed the fruit. Now you not only have robbed everyone of the fruit, but also you have destroyed(毁掉) a good apple tree!"

    Take a taxi from the airport. Pass the bank on your right and you'll see an old park on your right. Go down Long Street and pass a video shop on your left. You'll see a new park in front of you. （Go around the park on the right, and you'll see a post office on your right. Across from it, there is a pay phone. Turn left at the post office, and go down Eighth Street, you'll see my house. It's on Center Street, across from a library.
