The first chocolate was enjoyed by the people in Central and South America hundreds of years ago. In those days, the cocoa bean(可可豆){#blank#}1{#/blank#} to make a chocolate drink.

    In 1824, Mr. Cadbury opened a small shop in the United Kingdom. He {#blank#}2{#/blank#}chocolate drink. In 1831, he opened a factory to make chocolate drink. Mr. Cadbury believed that wine was bad and he wanted to encourage people to drink chocolate instead. A few years later, a man invented a way to, make chocolate bars (块), and so people had the chance to eat chocolate instead of only{#blank#}3{#/blank#}it.

    At first only dark chocolate was made. Milk chocolate came later and it was made by adding milk to the chocolate. Mr. Cadbury made their first milk chocolate bar in 1897. Their most famouschocolate, Cadbury Milk Bar, was made in 1905. It{#blank#}4{#/blank#}popular for over 100 years．The Cadbury factory still {#blank#}5{#/blank#}chocolate in the United Kingdom now and the chocolate is eaten all over the world. Every year, thousands of visitors go to the factory{#blank#}6{#/blank#}how chocolate is made．

    Carver studied peanuts.He knew that the south couldn't grow just cotton. Planting cotton year after year wore out the soil and made it useless.Carver learned that if farmers planted cotton one year and peanuts the next,the soil{#blank#}1{#/blank#}healthy.

    To encourage this practice,Carver thought of new uses for the peanut.Would you like to try peanut and raisin ice cream? How about using peanuts as a kind of{#blank#}2{#/blank#} to make shampoo? Perhaps you would prefer to make paint from peanuts,or maybe you would like to bake with peanut flour.Glue? Paper? Rubber?     Carver{#blank#}4{#/blank#}little from most of his inventions.He didn't feel that it was right to sell his ideas. He gave them freely to help farmers and fellow scientists.Carver's life is one that we could all use as an example.

    Voyo Woo began to study the art of paper cutting {#blank#}3{#/blank#} she was 14 years old in her hometown in Southeast China. All the students at school had to learn the art. But she {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a special love for it. So her teacher gave her extra(额外的){#blank#}5{#/blank#} after class.
