Duties of a Student

    Education is the very thing that we want to receive. Our parents {#blank#}1{#/blank#} us to school so as to enable (使能够) us to get knowledge and achieve great things in the future. The followings are the duties of a student which we should keep in {#blank#}2{#/blank#}.

    Firstly, we should be filial (孝顺的) to our parents and respectful to our {#blank#}3{#/blank#}.

    Secondly, we must study as {#blank#}4{#/blank#} as we can.

    Thirdly, we must not tell lies.

    Last of all, we must not criticize (苛求) {#blank#}5{#/blank#}.

    To sum up, the above-mentioned rules are the very duties of a student.

    Alice was born with a strange disease. She was taken to many hospitals. None of the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} knew the cause of the disease. They told her parents she would go blind and deaf.

    Now Alice is fifteen years old. Her eyesight and hearing are so poor that she can't see or hear {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. But she is a bright and happy girl. In fact, she has {#blank#}9{#/blank#} money for a foundation (基金会) fighting the disease since she was in Grade Two. Until now, she has got over $150，000!
