This morning I got an e-mail from Roy. It seems that my boy really enjoys his new life at Harvard University.  The 1 made me think of the first day when we moved into this house.

    Little Roy ran around the new house with great excitement and tried to move his own things into the house such as his toys, books and clothes. 2 , his little hand knocked over（打翻）a bottle of paint on the shelf. The paint made the tidy floor and white wall a terrible mess . “Oh, my God!” My wife rushed in angrily. I looked at my son, and his small face was filled with 3 .

    I 4 and held his hand, “Take it easy, Roy. Now let's do something to make it look  5 .” I took out a 6. “You see, Dad is a magician（魔术师）, I can change it into a big tree.” 

    His mother soon helped paint some butterflies and flowers on the wall.

    We spent the whole afternoon 7and laughing. The wall became a beautiful forest with plants, birds and small animals. Blue sky and white clouds were also painted by Roy. On that day, everybody in the house knew  8 special happened. 

    The night before Roy left for Harvard, he asked me if I still remembered the day when he had knocked over the paint. “Since then I've  9worried about making mistakes,” he continued, “I believe I can always 10ways to solve the problems.”

    A king loved music. One day, a man 1 the king a harp (竖琴). When the king played it,   the harp sounded terrible. Many people tried it. They agreed that the harp was useless. It was thrown out as rubbish.

    A little girl found the harp. She didn't know how to 2 it. She decided to have a try. She played day and night. The music was never perfect,  3 each time it sounded a little better.

    One day, the harp started to produce beautiful music. In fact, it was a 4 harp. It could be played well by someone if he put in enough effort (努力).

    The king called the girl to the palace. When he saw that she was playing the old harp. He was filled with joy. He made the girl his own private 5.

A businessman found he couldn't sleep at night, because he often slept a lot during the day. He became so worried, so he went to see a doctor.

"Can you help me, Doctor?" he asked the doctor worriedly "I sleep little I can only sleep less than two hours at night."

The doctor looked over the businessman, asked him some questions and gave him some medicine. Then he asked him to work less hard. The doctor said he was sure that he was not seriously ill and he would be better soon. The businessman went back home with the medicine,

Instead of feeling better, the businessman felt worse. He slept even less than before. After a long talk with the businessman, the doctor found out the reason: the businessman's wife gave him the sleeping medicine in the morning, and that kept him awake at night!

Li Tong was born in a poor family in a small village. His mother is ill and his dad works{#blank#}1{#/blank#} a farmer. But Li Tong loves his family very much. 

At the age of seven，he s{#blank#}2{#/blank#} training for diving （跳水） at a sports school. He trained for three to four h{#blank#}3{#/blank#} and did 400 dives every day. 

Later，he joined the diving team of the city. With the help of his coaches，he tried{#blank#}4{#/blank#} best to improve his diving skills. He trained so h{#blank#}5{#/blank#} that he made great progress and won many competitions. 

At the age of fourteen，Li Tong competed in the Olympics Games. He took p{#blank#}6{#/blank#} in the men's 10 meter platform event（十米高台跳水）. {#blank#}7{#/blank#}it was his first Olympics，Li Tong stayed very calm. During the final round，his most wonderful dive got a perfect score of ten. This dive was {#blank#}8{#/blank#}as "Li Tong Dive". 

Li Tong won the gold medal and many people were surprised at his talent and ability at such a y{#blank#}9{#/blank#} age. After his Olympic success，Li Tong became a sports h{#blank#}10{#/blank#} in his village. Many people have become his fans and take great pride in him. 

There is a tree near a river. A lot of bees (蜜蜂) are making their house here. They 1 around flowers and get their food. They keep doing their work all the day. One fine day, a bee wants to go to the 2 to drink some water. When the bee tries to drink, the 3 blows it away. The bee fell (掉) into the river.

 Luckily, a kind bird, who is watching the bee far away, flies 4 to help the little bee. She 5  a flower from the tree and flies to the bee. The bird 6 the flower near the bee. The bee gets on the flower and makes its wings(翅膀) 7 . After some time, the bee feels well 8 flies away to its home.

 Some weeks later, the bird is 9 great danger. As she is sitting on a tree, a bad man tries to 10 her. The bird wants to 11 but sees a large hawk (鹰) flying around her.

 That's 12 her kindness comes back to her. The bee comes to help13 by stinging (咬) the bad man's face hard. At that time, the bad man shot the arrow (射箭), which 14 the bird but scares away the hawk. The 15 bird flies away to its home.
