Hello! My name is Jack. I'm thirteen years old. I like riding very much. I go to school by bike every day. Look! This is my school. There is a new gym in my school. There are many students playing in it. There is a new garden, too. There are many flowers and trees in it. It's very beautiful. The food is delicious in the dining hall.

    Five years ago, I came to this school. At that time, I was short, so I couldn't ride my bike well. Our school was old and small. There was no dining hall. I ate lunch at home. There was no gym, either. We played basketball on the small playground after lunch. And sometimes we played ping-pong, too.

    Now everything is different. The school is big and nice. How time flies.

    This is Mary. She is an English girl. She is thirteen. She is a student(学生). She likes (喜欢) English. She is thin. She is tall. Her hair is short. It is yellow. She is my good friend. My name is Linda. I am fat. I am tall, too. We study in the same(相同的) school. We like English. We are good at(擅长) Chinese and other lessons.

    Our classroom is bright and clean. But it is not big. There are twenty-three desks and chairs in it. They are new. There's a big desk in front of the classroom. It's for our teachers. There are five pictures on the right wall. There's a map of the world and a map of China on the left wall.

    Near the window there's a bookshelf. There are many books on it. Our class-room is very nice. We have lessons here. We like our classroom.

    A town mouse and a country mouse were friends. One day, the town mouse visited the country mouse. The country mouse prepared lots of food he grew, but the town mouse didn't like it.

    After eating, the town mouse asked the country mouse to come to his town. The town mouse showed the visitor into his room which had a lot of nice food. The country mouse had never seen anything like that and sat down to enjoy the food. But right before they had eaten, the door opened and someone came in. The two mice had to hide themselves in a narrow hole. After a while, when it was quiet again, they came out. But someone else came in, and they hid again.

    "Goodbye," said the country mouse, "I'm leaving. You have a lot of nice food to eat. I can see, but there is so much danger." In the end, the country mouse decided to go back home and he no longer envied town at all.

    Every day, Mr. Smith sees a man near his home. The man has a pair of sunglasses (太阳镜) and sits on the ground. In front of the man, there is a hat with some money (钱) in it. Beside the man, there is a dog. Around the dog's neck, there is a board (牌子). It says "I'm blind". Mr. Smith gives the man some money every afternoon on his way home. One day, Mr. Smith walks by the man, but he does not give him any money.

    "Why don't you give me money today?" the man asks. Mr. Smith is very surprised (惊讶的).

    "Aren't you a blind man?" he asks.

    "No, I'm not. But my dog is blind (瞎的)." the man says.

    Today is my birthday. I'm very happy. I've got many gifts(礼物). Look, I've got new shoes.

    They are great. My father and my mother buy them for me. I've got new shorts. They're from my grandma. Wow! A birthday cake! I like it very much. I've got a new football, too. It's from Daming.
