冀教版初中英语七年级下册Unit 6 Lesson 32 I Can't Wait for Winter!同步练习

任务型阅读。

Winter is very cold in many countries. It's easy for you and me to keep warm. If we are cold, we can just buy a warm coat or use a heater and we will feel better. But what about animals? How do they keep warm in winter?

Some animals migrate(迁徙). This means they travel to places where the weather is warmer. Many birds leave before the winter starts. They fly in groups. If they fly together, the trip will be safer. They like to migrate to the same place every year. Do you know how they can find the same place?Scientists say that birds use the sun, the moon and stars to help them. Other animals like moose(麋鹿) also migrate. Fish and whales swim to warmer water.

Some animals don't have to leave their homes. They hibernate(冬眠) in winter. They fall into a very deep sleep. The animals' temperature drops and their breathing slows down. Before the winter, these animals must eat much food. If they don't eat enough, they may die while they are hibernating.

(1)、Many birds leave before .
(2)、The animals' temperature drops and their breathing when they're hibernating.

It's hard to make friends if you stay at home alone all the time. Get out of the house and do things that will put you in touch with other people. It's easier to make friends when you have the same interests.

Don't be afraid to show people what you are really good at. Talk about the things you like and do best. People will be interested in you if there is something interesting about you.

Look at people in the eyes when you talk to them. That way, they will find it easier to talk to you. If don't, people may think you are not interested in them and may stop being interested in you.

Be a good listener. Let people talk about themselves before talking about 'me, me, me'. Ask lots of questions. Show interest in their answers.

Try to make friends with the kind of people you really like — not just with those who are easy to meet. Be friendly to a lot of people. If so, you will have a bigger group of people to choose(选择) from and have more chances (机会) to make friends.
