    Nina and Julia are two lovely girls．They are 14 years old and go to school in London．But they weren't at school last week—they were doing work experience．And this week they are back in the classroom．Now a school reporter is talking with them about their work．

O：Where did you work?

N：I worked in a restaurant．

J：I worked for a TV company(公司)．

O：What did you do?

N：I cleaned the tables and swept the floor and I also served the customers（顾客）．I gave them their food and drinks and took the money．I started really early—at 6：00 a．m．The restaurant opened at 7：00 a．m．and closed at 6：00 p．m．I didn't stay until 6：00 p．m．一I finished work at 2：00p．m．The staff(全体员工)were friendly but we didn't have much time for talking．We were all really busy!

J：I worked in an office of the TV company．I started at 10：00 a．m．and finished at 6：00 p．m．I helped my boss(领导)with different jobs．Sometimes he told me to answer the phone．Other times he asked me to use the computer to look for  information he needed．I was really busy all day!

Q：Did you enjoy it?

N：No．I didn't! I wanted to work in a restaurant because I like cooking．But I didn't do any cooking all week．I am very happy to go back to school．

J：Yes，I did! The boss was kind and the staff were nice．I've really learned a lot from them．

    In March 2016, a group of people walked into a theater in New Mexico, USA to watch the movie Finding Nemo. The movie first hit the big screen in 2003 and it was a great success. Now it came back! What was special about it this time? It was dubbed(配音)  in Navajo. That's the language spoken by the Navajo, one of the biggest Native American tribes(美国土著部落). This movie wasn't made just for fun, though. It was made to save a dying language.

    The number of people who speak Navajo is dropping. In 20 14, only about 164, 000 people spoke it at home. That was down from about 173, 000 in 2005.

    Like many other Native American languages, Navajo has been in trouble for a long time. In the 1800s, thousands of Native American kids were forced to attend boarding schools. They were allowed to speak only English there. Over the years, fewer people learned their native languages. Some of these languages have been lost forever.

    Today, many Navajo kids aren't good at speaking Navajo. Some people worry that if today's kids don't learn Navajo and pass it down, the language could disappear.

Most people want to be happy, but few of them know how to find happiness. Money and success alone do not bring happiness forever.     One day, the emperor, Qin Shi Huang, ordered his soldiers(士兵) to capture(俘虏) some young men. He sent the young men to build the Great Wall of China.

    A young man named Fan Xiliang didn't want to get captured. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}He had nowhere to go and didn't know where to hide. When he heard the soldiers coming towards him, he was terrified.

    At that time, a woman named Lady Meng Jiang was passing by Fan Xiliang. She saw the poor man and saved him. Fan Xiliang said thanks to Lady Meng Jiang.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}Later on they got married.

    Unfortunately, Fan Xiliang was found and captured. He was sent to the Great Wall and worked there.

    Lady Meng Jiang waited for her husband day and night. Winter came, but Fan Xiliang failed to return. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} She took the warm clothes to the Great Wall, but she didn't find Fan Xiliang.

    Someone told her that Fan Xiliang had died and that he was buried in the Great Wall.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}

    She cried so sadly that a part of the Great Wall collapsed(倒塌) and she finally found Fan Xiliang's body.

    Seeing blood in a horror movie might make you cover your eyes, but real blood isn't scary at all.

    {#blank#}1{#/blank#} That's why blood donors are considered lifesavers.

    Blood donors are those giving blood—usually about 200ml at a time—to blood banks or blood donation (捐赠) centers. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} For example, someone may have lost blood in accidents, or have a serious illness that requires his blood to be replaced. Hospitals and blood banks store the blood and try to keep enough on hand.

    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Medical workers ask donors several questions to make sure the blood is safe to use. Then the donors relax, often reading a magazine or talking as their blood is drawn. Afterward, the donors may receive some juice or water and maybe fruit to give them energy. The process is simple, not scary. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} To give blood, a person must be at least 18 years old and must meet certain other requirements.

    Students of all ages, though, can learn more about the donation process by visiting a local blood donation center. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} It is also an easy way to help a community.
