How to Be Popular

    Most people would like to be popular with others, {#blank#}1{#/blank#}not everyone can achieve this goal. What is the secret to{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (popular)? In fact, it is very simple. The first step is to improve our appearance. We should always make {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  that we stay in good shape and dress well. When we are healthy and well-groomed, we will not only look better but also feel {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (good). In addition, we should smile and appear friendly. After all, our facial expression is an important part of our appearance.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} we can do this, people will be attracted to our good looks and impressed by our confidence. 

    Another important step is developing more consideration(考虑) for others. We should always place{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (other) interests before our own. It's also important to be good {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(listen). In this way people will feel comfortable enough to confide in us. However, no matter {#blank#}8{#/blank#} we do, we must not gossip. Above all, we must remember to be  {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（we）, not dishonest(不诚实). Only by being sincere and respectful（尊重人的） can we earn their respect.     Helen is a famous writer and educator in America. When Helen was a baby, she got very s{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. She couldn't see or hear. As time passed, things got s{#blank#}3{#/blank#}bad that she couldn't understand anything. She couldn't speak to anyone e{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. But she had a great w{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. With the help of Miss Sullivan, she a{#blank#}6{#/blank#}college when Helen was older.

  Helen Keller spent the rest of her life as a writer and helped many blind and deaf people. Helen was a very old woman when she died o{#blank#}7{#/blank#}illness. She is still r{#blank#}8{#/blank#}today because she was both brave and wonderful.

    No matter in what environment, don't s{#blank#}9{#/blank#}trying. Helen Keller said so. From her true story, I realised whatever we do or how hard it is, we will never give u{#blank#}10{#/blank#}.
