"Not Jim?" asked the doctor.

"I wish to talk to the little boy, please," he said
afterwards.
"Hawkins," said Silver, "Promise that you won't
try to escape."
I agreed. Silver asked the doctor to climb outside the port.
He then took me down to talk with him from the fence (栅栏)and left us a{#blank#}3{#/blank#}.
"Why
did you leave, Jim?" the doctor asked me and I told him about the Hispaniola.
"You always save us, Jim, you e{#blank#}4{#/blank#} found Ben Gunn. Jump over the fence and
r{#blank#}5{#/blank#} away with me," he begged.
"I can't. I promised," I said s{#blank#}6{#/blank#}.
Then the doctor called Long John Silver over.
"I'll give you some a{#blank#}7{#/blank#}," he said. "Don't hurry to look
for the treasure."
"But the only way to save my life and the b{#blank#}8{#/blank#} is by looking for the treasure."
"In that case, be ready for problems when you find it,"
said Dr Livesey. "Keep Jim c{#blank#}9{#/blank#} beside you, and when you need help, shout."
He then shook hands with me t{#blank#}10{#/blank#} the fort fence. He nodded to Silver and
went quickly into the woods.
