One day, long long ago, a little baby was born(出生). His name was Jesus(耶稣). Jesus was a special baby. Many people said he was the son of God(上帝). When he was born, a new star was in the sky. Three wise men saw the star. They followed the star to Jesus. They brought the baby special gifts. When the baby grew into a man, he was a great teacher. He taught people to love God and to love each other. Jesus's birthday，December 25th, is Christmas Day. We give gifts to our friends and family at Christmas. We put stars on our Christmas trees, too.

We have a school trip on Children's Day. We go to the zoo. Mike is looking at the elephants. The elephants are drinking water. John is playing with the rabbits. The rabbits are jumping. Chen Jie is talking with the monkey. But the monkey is eating bananas. Wu Binbin is feeding the pandas. And the pandas are eating bamboo. Amy is running with a bear. We are excited in the zoo.

Dear Kim,

    We arrived at Holiday Cove on Monday and we are having lots of fun.

The flight was so boring. I nearly fell asleep but at least everything went well—not like last time.

    When we landed we went straight our camp. My cousin Emma is staying next to us.

    I am excited because we are going to visit the crocodile farm tomorrow. Peter is scared and says he wants to go to see the kangaroos instead.

The Twin's Birthday

    Today is the twins' birthday. They are twelve. Jim, Mike, Kate and Bill are the twins' friends. They want to buy some things for them. There is a big shop near their school. It sells a lot of things. From the shop people can buy some food, some drink and some school things, like cakes, apples, milk, oranges, hamburgers, exercise books and so on. The shop closes very late. So they can buy things on their way home. They buy a big cake, two boxes of colour pencils, an orange yo-yo (溜溜球) and some nice exercise books. They want to buy two dolls and two toy trains for the twins. But all the dolls and toys are too expensive.
